New Car Rebates and Incentives: February 6, 2014

The first week of February brings with it a clean slate of rebates and incentives on new cars and new trucks.  Our list this week starts off with the 2014 Kia Sedona minivan, which provides the choice between either zero percent financing plus $500 in cash back, or $1,500 in total cash rebates.  Next up is the 2014 Jeep Compass compact SUV, which features a 0.9% purchase finance rate or $2,000 in factory cash back, followed by the 2014 Ford Flex full-size crossover and its offer of either zero percent financing or $1,000 cash back.  The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan features a zero percent financing plus $1,500 cash back offer or the option of a hefty $3,000 in total cash back, while the 2013 Nissan Altima rounds out our most recent round-up with the choice between 0.0% financing plus $500 cash back or $1,500 in factory cash back.

The 2014 Kia Sedona is a value-focused minivan that can transport up to seven passengers.  With the rear two rows of accommodations folded forward, the Kia Sedona is also capable of swallowing as much as 141.5 cubic feet of cargo.

The 2014 Kia Sedona is motivated by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that has been rated at 269 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque.  Fuel mileage for this motor, which is shifted via a six-speed automatic transmission, checks in at 17-mpg in stop and go driving and 24-mpg on the highway.

The 2014 Jeep Compass is a compact SUV that combines a reasonable around town footprint with legitimate off-road capability (when ordered with the Freedom Drive II Off-Road package).  The Jeep Compass can handle five passengers or 62.7 cubic feet of cargo space (with the rear row out of the picture).

The 2014 Jeep Compass starts out with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine under the hood that generates 158 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque.  Stepping up to the Compass' 2.4-liter, four-cylinder unit introduces 172 horses and 165 lb-ft of torque.  The smaller motor's fuel mileage leads the way, showing as 23-mpg in city driving and 30-mpg on the highway.  In addition to available four-wheel drive, transmission choices for the Compass include a five-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a continuously-variable automatic (required for models with the Free Drive II Off-Road package's low-range four-wheel drive system).

The 2014 Ford Flex is a full-size crossover that combines retro styling with a surprising amount of practicality (and performance, in the case of EcoBoost-equipped models).  The Ford Flex features seating for up to eight passengers, along with 83 cubic feet of total cargo space.

The 2014 Ford Flex's base 3.5 -liter V-6 produces 287 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque, and it also delivers fuel mileage of 18-mpg around town and 25-mpg on the highway.  The Flex's 3.5-liter EcoBoost option introduces twin turbochargers to pump 365 horses and 350 lb-ft of twist out of its six cylinders.  All-wheel is standard with the EcoBoost edition of the Ford, and optional with the entry-level version.  A six-speed automatic transmission is included free of charge with all Flex crossovers.

The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country is aimed at the upscale people moving crowd.  This feature-filled minivan provides eight passenger accommodations as well as 143.8 cubic feet of available cargo space - easily accessible via its Stow 'n Go fold-flat seats.

The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country is equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that is good for 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.  A six-speed automatic transmission sends that output to the minivan's front wheels, and the Town & Country's fuel mileage is reported as 17-mpg in city driving and 25-mpg during highway cruising.

The 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe represents the two-door version of the last-generation Altima sedan.  The Nissan Altima Coupe offers respectable interior room for as many as four passengers, and a more engaging ride than one would expect from a vehicle in its price range.

The 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe offers a 175 horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder as its only available engine.  Also capable of producing 180 lb-ft of torque, the Nissan Altima Coupe comes exclusively with a continuously-variable automatic transmission that allows it to post fuel efficiency figures of 23-mpg city and 32-mpg highway.
