The Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance never fails to impress with its diverse collection of the latest and most stunning automotive concept cars from a wide variety of automakers.  2014 was no exception, as brands ranging from Mercedes-Benz to Lamborghini to Saleen took a stand on the Concept Lawn in order to show off vehicles sprung from the fevered imaginations of their unchained designers.

We've put together this gallery of 11 of the most intriguing concept cars to grace the lawn this year.  Check out our take on the 2014 Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 01 - Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo

We've seen the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo before - it debuted at the L.A. Auto Show last fall - but that doesn't make it any less spectacular.  Surely one of the most visually engaging concepts in recent memory, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo was created in conjunction with the Gran Turismo 6 video game to highlight the limits of the possible in both the digital and 'real' worlds of automotive design.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 02 - Toyota FT-1

The Toyota FT-1 is another familiar concept (shown off in Detroit in January of this year), and surprise, surprise, you can also play it on your Playstation via the Gran Turismo 6 game.  Unlike the Vision Gran Turismo, however, the Toyota FT-1 is very much tied-in with Toyota's production car future, foreshadowing what the next-generation Toyota Supra could look like.  It's the most interesting car to have left Toyota's design studios in a decade, and it bodes well for upcoming coupe projects from the Japanese brand.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 03 - McLaren P1 GTR Design Concept

The McLaren P1 GTR Design Concept reminds us that long before it built street cars, McLaren was all about conquering international road courses and producing a wide variety of race-focused platforms for a retinue of high profile clients.  The McLaren P1 GTR Design Concept offers 986 horsepower, a wider front track, and a host of aerodynamic goodies designed to improve downforce.  Don't even think about trying to register this bad boy at the DMV - stick with the 903 horsepower road legal version instead.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 04 - Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo

While we're on the subject of factory-built track cars, it's as good a time as any to discuss the Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo.  If you ever looked at the Huracan and thought 'this coupe's just not extroverted enough for me,' then the Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo is the model for you.  Although it's only marginally more powerful than the production Huracan (620 versus 602 horses), it's lighter (checking in at 2,794 lbs), which means it's also faster.  Oh, and that rear wing is adjustable, as are the hood intakes.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 05 - Renovo Coupe

And now for something completely different: an all-electric supercar.  Claimed to have been under development for the past four years, the Renovo Coupe is advertised as having 1,000 lb-ft of instant-on electric torque as well as over 500 horsepower.  Looking a lot like a vintage Shelby Daytona race car, the Renovo Coupe is said to hit 60-mph in just 3.4 seconds, and offers full battery charging in an equally-quick 30 minutes.  Renovo Motors hopes to bring the Coupe to market by 2015.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 06 - Saleen FOURSIXTEEN

Famed tuner Steve Saleen getting his hands on a battery-powered sedan sounds a bit farfetched, but here's the proof that it actually happened: the Saleen FOURSIXTEEN.  Based on the Tesla Model S, the Saleen FOURSIXTEEN features a 11.39:1 rear gear ratio to help lop nearly a second off of its 0-60 time, which now sits in the mid-four second range.  It also offers carbon ceramic brakes and a suspension package designed to help the car better handle twisty roads.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 07 - Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept

Japanese luxury brand Infiniti has had no answer to the high performance sedans built by its German rivals - until now.  The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept boasts a 580 horsepower twin-turbo V-6 along with an all-wheel drive system that have both been borrowed from the Nissan GT-R supercar, and it also features extensive aerodynamic and chassis upgrades to help hold things together at triple-digit speeds.  Let's hope they build it, as this car would be a game-changer for Infiniti's American image.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 08 - Lincoln MKX Concept

Looking a little out of place as the only SUV on a lawn populated by sedans and coupes, the Lincoln MKX Concept illustrates where the next generation of people movers from the luxury automaker are headed.  It's a great-looking crossover to be sure, and certainly in line with where models like the MKZ sedan have been pushing Lincoln's design language.  The MKX Concept is aimed as much at aspirational Chinese buyers as it is at a U.S. family audience.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 09 - BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept

The BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept hints at a model above the existing 7 Series flagship sedan by way of its massive proportions and surprisingly advanced interior design.  This is a big car with equally sizable street presence, and while BMW is keeping mum about whether a '9 Series' is truly in the offing, some of the ideas represented by the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept, such as a space-saving B-pillarless cabin that makes use of the front seats as structural supports, are intriguing to say the least.

Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - 10 - Hennessey Venom GT

Ok, so it's not really a concept - you can go out and buy the Hennessey Venom GT right now, if you have the coin to spare on the quickest American-built automobile on the market.  Still, what's not to like about seeing it at Pebble Beach: there's 1,244 horsepower lurking under the rear deck of this lightweight mid-engine supercar, which has been clocked at just over 270 miles per hour.  That's what you get when you mate not one, but two turbos to a 7.0-liter V-8 engine.
