What Is The Audi Driver Assistance Package?

The Audi Driver Assistance Package is an option package available on some Audi models and trim levels that adds features to the car to help make driving both easier and safer. The package contents vary depending on the vehicle, but often includes Audi’s side assist blind spot monitoring, dynamic variable ratio steering, adaptive cruise control, Audi’s active lane assistant lane departure warning system, a top view camera system, or Audi’s pre sense plus collision mitigation system.

Audi Parking System

The Driver Assistance package is available on the A3 Premium Plus, and includes Audi side assist, and the Audi parking system with rear view camera. These features come standard on Prestige models, so the package is not available on the higher trim level.

Audi Drive Select

The Audi A4 Prestige, A5 Prestige, A5 Cabriolet Prestige, Q5 Prestige, and allroad are all available with a Driver Assist package that contains Audi’s drive select system, dynamic steering, and adaptive cruise control. The Driver Assist packages for the S4 Prestige, S5 Prestige, RS 5 Prestige, RS 5 Cabriolet, and SQ5 Prestige come with dynamic steering and adaptive cruise control. The drive select system comes standard on these cars, and so it is not part of the Driver Assist package.

Audi Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go

A Driver Assistance package is available on A6 models with the Premium plus or Prestige trim levels. The package includes Audi active lane assist, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, a top and corner view camera system, and Audi pre sense plus. S6 models with the Driver Assistance package get Audi side assist, Audi active lane assist, Audi pre sense plus, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, a top and corner view camera system, and power-folding, power-adjustable, auto-dimming, heated side mirrors with memory.

Audi Side Assist

Audi A7 Premium plus or A7 Prestige models with Driver Assistance come with Audi pre sense plus, active lane assist, the corner view camera system, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, and power-adjustable, power-folding, auto-dimming, heated exterior side mirrors with memory. S7 models with the Driver Assistance package and RS 7 models with the Driver Assistance plus package include Audi pre sense plus, active lane assist, front-view and reversing camera (corner view camera system on the S7), adaptive cruise control with stop & go, and power-folding, power-adjustable, auto-dimming, heated side mirrors with memory.

Audi Pre Sense Plus

On A8 and A8 L models the Driver Assistance package includes Audi’s adaptive cruise control with stop & go, the Top View Camera System, Audi pre sense plus (with pre sense rear), high beam assistant, and Audi side assist and lane assist. On S8 models the top and corner view camera system, Audi side assist, and high-beam assistant are standard features, while the Lane assist package is available as an option separately. Because of this, the S8’s Driver Assistance package includes only Audi’s adaptive cruise control with stop & go and pre sense plus. The A8 L W12 comes standard with the top and corner view camera system and high beam assist, while the Driver Assistance package adds Audi pre sense plus (with pre sense rear), adaptive cruise control with stop & go, and Audi side assist with Audi lane assist. Unfortunately no Driver Assist or Driver Assistance Packages are available for the Q7, TT and TT Roadster, TTS and TTS Roadster, and R8 and R8 Spyder.
