The 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show is one of the largest events on the automotive calendar each year. As always, a large portion of the attention falls on the competitive SUV/Crossover segment. This year more than ever, manufacturers are bringing their latest creations, ranging in size, price and ability. The SUV market is always considered to be the leader in terms of building family-friendly cars. Let’s take a look at the best new cars for families at the 2015 LA Auto Show.
Making its debut at the 2015 LA Auto Show, the QX30 is the first ever compact crossover from Infiniti. The interior comes well-appointed for the affordable price point and still features reasonable cargo space for family items. Look for the QX30 to hit showrooms next Summer as a 2017 model.
The BMW X1 was considered one of the founding members of the luxury compact crossover segment when it made its initial U.S. debut in 2013. Brand new for 2016, the X1 is once again ready to be a prominent leader in the segment, offering expanded interior space and off-road capability for adventurous family use.

The XT5 is Cadillac’s latest entry into the Luxury Crossover market. The car, according to Cadillac, features the newest generation of connectivity and safety technology. The XT5 also has ample space both in the rear seat and in the rear cargo area. The 2017 Cadillac XT5 also represents the first of four upcoming crossovers in the Cadillac lineup.
An option most appropriate for families of a larger size, the Chevrolet Suburban is selling in large volumes as it enters its second year in this generation. The Suburban features impressive new available technology such as mobile wireless phone charging via the center console. The Suburban also features expansive room for passengers with its three-row layout.
The 2016 Kia Sorento represents a big push forward for the brand in the Crossover segment. In addition to a complete exterior overhaul, the interior of the car now features available upgrades like heated and ventilated front seats and the latest generation UVO media system.
The Q7 exhibits the latest Audi technological advancements, making it a leading contender for families looking in the Luxury Crossover market. The Q7 comes equipped with Audi’s latest MMI navigation system, which brings maps, audio information and many other features directly in front of the driver through a digital dashboard.
Jaguar’s completely new F-Pace represents the most important vehicle for the brand in years. The F-Pace is Jaguar’s first ever SUV and is their debut in the crowded Luxury Crossover segment. The 2017 F-Pace will feature Jaguar’s latest in infotainment and offers exceptional interior space, especially considering the size of the overall vehicle.
