SUVs and crossovers continue to grow in popularity, and so does the number of available models. Automakers are slotting new options into their lineups in hopes of hitting the sweet spot with the right size and the right features. For folks who want to be sure they’re buying an American-made product, though, that’s only one part of the picture. The good news is that many great SUVs are made right here in the United States by our domestic automakers. For our purposes, we qualify American-made as final assembly in the U.S. with at least 50 percent of its parts supplied from North America, based on information from the American Automobile Labeling Act. Here are the 10 best American-made SUVs.

2020 Dodge Durango

The Dodge Durango is a roomy SUV with seating for up to seven passengers. Buyers who might want extra room for cargo, but don’t need the extra seating, can opt to delete the third row. When it’s equipped, the Durango provides 17.2 cubic feet of cargo space, behind the third row, 43.3 cubic feet behind the second row, and 85.1 cubic feet behind the front seats. The Durango can also tow up to 8,700 pounds when properly equipped. It offers a choice of three engines from a base 3.6-liter V6 engine with up to 295 horsepower to the performance-focused 6.4-liter V8 with 475 horsepower. Pricing for the 2020 Dodge Durango ranges from $30,495 to $62,995.

2020 Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler is an iconic American vehicle with room for up to five passengers and renowned off-road capability. It’s available in two-door or four-door variants with a choice of several engines. This includes, for the first time ever, a diesel. The optional 3.0-liter V6 diesel provides 260 horsepower with 442 lb-ft of torque, ideal for tackling the most challenging of off-road conditions. There are three available four-wheel drive systems along with high ground clearance and skid plates to protect your Wrangler from rough terrain. 2020 Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee is a five-passenger compact SUV with rugged styling and impressive capability. It’s available with a choice of either front-wheel or four-wheel drive depending on how much capability you need. Trim levels include the Trailhawk, which gets off-road enhancements like skid plates, an off-road suspension, and all-terrain tires. Power comes from a choice of three engines, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The 2020 Jeep Cherokee is available in a range of seven well-equipped trim levels that combined capability with comfort. 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a mid-size SUV with room for up to five passengers and plenty of cargo. There’s 36.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats with 68.3 cubic feet behind the front seats. The Grand Cherokee can also tow up to 7,200 pounds when properly equipped and comes standard with roof rails to accommodate additional cargo. Power comes from a choice of four engines, starting with the base 3.6-liter V6 with 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Those who want a performance SUV should consider the Trackhawk trim. It has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. Pricing for the 2020 Grand Cherokee runs from $32,240 to $87,095.

2020 Ford Expedition

The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV with three rows of seating and room for eight passengers. It’s available with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive across the four-trim lineup. This roomy SUV has up to 20.9 cubic feet for cargo behind the third row, 63.6 cubic feet behind the second row, and 104.6 cubic feet behind the front seats. It can tow up to 15,200 pounds when properly equipped. There’s also the long-wheelbase Expedition Max. It offers 36.0 cubic feet behind the third row, 79.6 cubic feet behind the second row, and 172 cubic feet behind the front seats, along with maximum towing of up to 15,300 pounds. 2020 Ford Explorer

The Ford Explorer is a three-row SUV with room for up to seven passengers. It has good cargo capacity with 18.2 cubic feet behind the third-row seat, 47.9 cubic feet behind the second row, and 87.8 cubic feet behind the front seats. There’s a choice of either a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.0-liter V6 with up to 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The Explorer also offers a hybrid powertrain for those who make fuel economy a priority. In rear-wheel drive models, it gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg combined. Pricing for the 2020 Ford Explorer starts at $36,675.

2020 Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave is a luxurious SUV with room for up to seven passengers and a choice of either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Standard features include heated front seats, tri-zone automatic temperature control, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Features increase as you move up the four-trim range to the exclusive Avenir. The Avenir badge is reserved for Buick’s most exclusive offerings. The Enclave Avenir includes a 10-speaker Bose audio system, automatic heated steering wheel, wireless charging, navigation, and ventilated front seats. The 2020 Cadillac XT5 is a luxury SUV with room for five passengers. It’s available in a range of three well-equipped trims with even the base model featuring a wide range of standard features. Power for the base XT5 comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 237 horsepower while the top trim gets a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower. Standard features on the base XT5 include an eight-way power driver’s seat and six-way power passenger seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a hands-free power liftgate. 2020 GMC Acadia

The GMC Acadia is an SUV with a wide range of flexibility for passengers. It offers seating for either five, six, or seven depending on the trim you choose. The Acadia also offers a choice of either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch infotainment screen, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The top trim of the Acadia is called the Denali, which is a name applied to only the most luxurious trims in the GMC lineup.
