This Labor Day promises to be one of the most competitive and interesting long weekends in U.S. auto history. So sorting out which brands have the best deals for Labor Day is a difficult task. But it is a task that we at Autobytel take on willingly because it can help you make a great car purchase.

As you might have heard, carmakers are facing special challenges this Labor Day weekend. The pandemic has disrupted global supply chains, and a shortage of semiconductors is a significant problem. Because of all the disruptions, dealer inventories of new vehicles are at historic lows. That isn't great news for car buyers who have fewer vehicles to choose from than normal. But the situation has not prevented automakers from offering some enticing incentives and deals. Because auto brands vary their special offerings by region, check locally for what is available in your area. That being said, this roundup is a good look at the Labor Day incentives and deals being offered nationwide.

FORD

Ford has a variety of interesting deals and incentives for the Labor Day weekend. The 2021 Ford Explorer mid-size SUV is a case in point. The current lease deal is $269 per month for 36 months with $4,069 due at signing. An even more compelling offer might be $2,000 in cashback. The full-size 2021 Ford Expedition SUV has a $3,500 cashback offer. Or if you'd rather lease, it's $529 per month for 36 months with $6,429 due at signing.

The 2021 Ranger mid-size pickup has $3,000 in trade-assist cash. A Ford Mustang sports coupe is available for lease at $379 per month for 36 months with $3,279 due at lease signing. The deals vary by location so consult a dealer or ford.com to see what is available in your area.
