What Is The Volkswagen Panoramic Sunroof?

The Volkswagen Panoramic Sunroof is available as part of some trim packages on a number of their models, including the Beetle, Jetta SportWagen, Tiguan, and Touareg. The large sunroof is composed of at least two pieces of glass, a stationary rear section and a front section that has an electrically powered tilt and slide function. The front panel can be opened entirely, sliding over the rear section of glass. There is also an electrically operated blind that covers the entire area of the panoramic sunroof to help keep the interior cool on hot, bright summer days.
