Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Navigation system.
Cons: Visibility takes a little getting used to in the front.
Advice: Stop thinking about it and get it.
Great Choice! Picked up the car the day we had 15' of snow and it exceeded expectations. NO problem handling snow banks and absolutely no loss of traction. Milage has been better than other reviews mentioned and right about sticker statement. The car is etremely quiet in all driving conditions. I could not be more pleased. The service is top notch and all routine maintenance included for 1st three years!Pros: Park assist
Cons: limited vision backing
Advice: Good if you need the third row of seats and a midsized SUV.
Excellent comfort and handling for a SUV. Got the T5 so I knew it was not going to have outstanding performance, but the mileage mirror's EPA ratings (18-24) which is good. Purchased through overseas delivery which was great. Highly recommend that if it fits with your plans. Two free plane tickets to Europe and eight percent off list.Pros: Comfort and power
Cons: The rear bumper area appearance can be improved
Advice: Buy this baby and you won't regret it
Bought last Nov 2003 and already put 15000 enjoyable miles. This T6 rides like a luxury car and powerful. Got a ticket going 90+ mph going up the Baker California grade on my way to Las Vegas with a lot more power left.Pros: the way it drives
Cons: the accelaration/hp
Advice: try to get the dealership down on the price...was a bit expensive and they didnt want to budge
Having come from a Land Rover Discovery, this suv drove like a car...better actually. Effortless in all areas...the acceleration could be better but I opted for the less horse power over better fuel economy.Pros: Safety & stability control
Cons: Premium unleaded gasoline
Advice: You won't regret it!
I've waited this vehicle for a very long time. Now is the best time to buy since the price starts to loosen due to the supply increases. Pros: safety, stability control, size, style, auto lights control (headlight & interior), well-distributed air (to all 3 rows), air filtration, PremAir radiator, protection for pedestrians & small vehicles; Cons: MPG, premium unleaded gasoline, lack of frontal parking radar.Pros: versatility
Cons: hp
Advice: shop diff volvo dealerships if poss for best price
Pros: optional 3rd row, amt of storage behind 3rd row, MPG, versatility (enter 3rd row from either side, all seats except driver can fold down, all seats move and fold independently from eachother), safety (roll stability control, Dynamic stability traction control, side airbags all 3 rows, boron steel roof), size (both interior and exterior--can fit in garage and I can still exit vehicle), 'grocery bag holder,' 'mini' split tailgate, reverse warning system (option). Cons: hp, amt of 2nd row legroom, odomoter set up (difficult to quickly read odd mph (50, 70, etc.), front power seats don't move w/o key in ignition.Pros: I love the total package especially the body style and the 36,000 mile free maint. available on the 2004
Cons: It takes only premium unleaded gas.
Advice: It is a bit pricey, I tried like the dickens to talk the manager down but could only get $700 off MSRP
The very first XC90 that I tested was a 2003 demo and I loved it the minute I sat in it. I had of course heard of the Volvo's record for safety which was a big deciding factor in purchasing any vehicle. I found the interior to be pleasing to the eye and very functional. The performance was great, I don't drive like a bat but felt that the pickup was great. This car drives like a dream. The other vehicle that I was interested in was the Lexus GX470.
