Pros: BLIS
Cons: steering wheel
Advice: Do the overseas delivery
Picked up my 2007 V-8 XC-90 Gothenburg. Drove thru Germany for 10 days. The car handled like a dream. Cruised around 80 mph most of the time had it up to 120mph twice. I was impressed. My only complaint is the steering wheel. Where the cruise and stereo controls are located that is where I rest my hands. The comfort and how quiet the xc90 was great. When you put the pedal down there was plenty of power. Plenty of room.Pros: The stability and 'solid' driving and corning capabilities.
Cons: It has a blind spot on the drivers side.
Advice: If you are looking for comfort, safety and a solid crossover, this car is for you.
We purchased the 2006 Volvo XC90 2.5T with 8500 miles. This car was a loaner and is in immaculate condition. The car drives like a Lincoln Town Car (smooth) and performs like a BMW.Pros: Anti rollover.
Cons: Ride, performance, cheap interior materials.
Advice: After much research, I've found that the cars have multitude of problems and are way expensive to maintain. You're better off going with a Subaru Tribeca, Toyota, or Honda. Volvo has turned into cheap, overpriced garbage.
There was vibration in the steering at anything above 50 mph. The vehicle was not quiet.Pros: Self dimming mirror
Cons: lights dim when they wash
Advice: Drive it you'll like it
Once again, I am more than pleased with the quality, comfort and reliability of teh Volvo Line. I find I must go back to these cars, time and time again. Having a number of physical problems and having to drive great lenghts at times (10-12 hours) no other car can compare. The seats and positioning is outstanding. HAving rented all different cars, all sizes and shapes, nothing compares. I'm getting 19 mpg in mixed driving and using mid grade with no problems. Would buy another in a heartbeat. ALthough this one is an automatic, I miss a stick shift, even in this size car! I still have my trusty 1999 S-70 and love the manual as well.
