As a confirmed lover of station wagons, yet finding the Dodge Magnum slightly too much for my wife, we settled on the Volvo XC70, finally giving our 1995 Buick Roadmaster a rest. Years ago we owned a Volvo sedan and wagon, and were happy with them--not ecstatic, but happy. The XC70 fills that role well--it is well-made, quiet, responsive, safe, and all that Volvos are reputed to be. It is head-and-shoulders above the quality of the old Buick, I am sad to say, but lacks the excitement--I was in love with the Buick, with all the excitement of old Detroit iron, but can never be as excited with the Volvo. Dependable, safe, economical, well-made--yes to the Volvo. I am glad we have it, and look forward to years of motoring comfort. But I will always fondly and wistfully remember our old Roadmaster....Enter a valid ZIP Code
