Pros: Too many to list..probably the traction control and safety features
Cons: I wish it got a few more miles to the gallon..does well for it's size though 18/23

I have owned my 2003 XC70 Cross Country for 31,000 wonderful miles. I can actually say that this is the best 'all around' vehicle I have ever owned. Minor adjustments have been addressed under the 5 year/ 50,000 mile warranty, however nothing major has occured. It still smells like new leather inside and drives like a dream on and off the highway. We most like the handling stability in rain and snow. A special 'winter mode' on the transmission does not allow the wheels to break traction during initial acceleration..very nice! If you are shopping for a luxury car or an SUV, do not pass up test driving the Volvo XC70,it is an impressive luxury wagon with plenty of performance and offroad capability ....in a nut shell...JUST DRIVE IT!! -

I have owned car for 10 months and have put 31000 miles on vehicle. Am happy with fuel economy (27.2 avg) and excellent dealer. Bought vehicle due to dealer's reputation!!!!! Was unhappy that ball joints needed replacement @ 26000 miles. Hope that replacements last longer. Has original tires (Pirelli Scorpions) -

Advice: While I did not find that Volvo offered much incentive to puchase, I shopped at two dealers who were very eager to get my business and negotiated lower prices with me. Shop around
Handles very well. Comfortable luxury car type ride, sport car handling and all the space and practicality of an SUV. I had been driving an SUV for the last couple of years and enjoyed the size and practicality, but I did not enjoy the 'truck like' ride. This is the perfect balance. Luxurious interior, comfortable ride, higher end performance and the space needed to haul kids, groceries, shopping, etc. So far is has been a perfect joy!
