Pros: THE LOOK
Cons: I Just broke the cup holder, CHEAP CITY
Advice: Don't buy the first model year, it take Volvo 3-4 years to get their vehicles to run like a HondaAs a former S80 2000 T6 owner, 16 times in the shop, all major parts replaced, ETM nightmare and stalled on the freeway three times, You are probably wondering why I even bothered to buy this car again. BUT, I drive 25k miles per year, its a very comfortable car and I feel safe in it. It did help alot the dealer gave me 10k off the sticker price otherwise it was a Honda Accord. Anyway, I'm happy with it, definitely not as powerful, but I'm happy to get rid of the 2000 beast I traded in. My odometer is at 1k and I hope to make it to its first servicing without it breaking down or stalling on the freeway. Volvo of Pleasanton, CA ROCKS. Never mind all the mechanics drive Nissan and Hondas. :)
Cons: No way to open trunk from inside vehicle
Advice: Go Buy It!!!Drove many cars, from SUV's to Mid-Size Sedans, HANDS DOWN THE V50 AWD is one of if not the best Sport Wagons on the market today!! This T5 engine is responsive and fast as you want it to be!! This isn't momma's old grocery getter!! The 2.4 engine is nowhere near the T5, and AWD just makes it that much more practical for not a big jump in price. Inside, very roomy, very modern, and the perfect family vehicle for one with a couple little ones. I am 6'2' and very comfortable anywhere in the car, look no longer, if you are looking for the perfect family car that is plenty big yet awesome gas milage, go pick up a T5 and hang on...cause it's plenty quick!
Pros: Too many to list. Sexy looking car and yet I feel completely engulfed in safety when slipping into the drivers seat.
Cons: Still trying to adjust to the turbo upon accelerating when making a turn.
Advice: You will not be sorry with your purchase.Lots of pep. Hugs and grips the road. I definitely feel that I am in control. Rides smooth. Responsive. Comfortable. I find myself making excuses to drive somewhere! Within a couple of days of having my Volvo, I found myself thinking that so far, I would get another Volvo...and that opinion has not changed. My father is a car man and at six feet, two inches, even he was impressed with the room he had - more then his Lincoln. Simply, it is a nice ride in a sporty looking car. I can not stop staring at it!
Pros: reliability and comfort
Cons: style, safety and reliability
Advice: BUY at least ONEThis car for the price is Great, responsive, reliable, comfortable, and the out of my choices. Service, if any is wonderful, I boughtt this one new and cannot wait for a new 2007. Ther is no other in the price class that is so remarkably 'perfect'
Pros: Design of the interior
Cons: Small arm rest
Advice: Not worth the price if going over $30This car does not drive as good as it looks. There seems to be a lot of pulling to either side. The turbo can be peppy, but there is a random lag in power that I was told is normal? I expected a better driving experience because of their reputation. I think that being part of Ford Motor Co. and sharing parts with Ford Focus & Mazda 3 may have something to do with it's lack of quality. I regret the purchase.
Pros: Unsurpassed safety, body style.
Cons: No trunk opener from inside the car, and poor visibility out passenger's rear window (take the back seat headrests out!)
Advice: If you're looking for great looks in a well-built car that will give you few problems: the V50 is it.It was between three cars: the Audi A3, the Saab 9-3, and this one. We chose the V50 for a few basic reasons. The Audi A3 I would've purchased in a heartbeat if I were ten years younger and without a small baby. It easily outperforms the other cars in terms of shifting, speed, and handling. The Saab 9-3 is a very well-built car, and more highly rated than the Audi or Volvo, but as far as I'm concerned, the 2006 model is ugly and looks like it was built out of tin. As for the Volvo: I think it's the best-looking of the three, I *know* it's the safest, and it's also the biggest of the three in terms of seating and cargo hold. Volvos also last forever, which is another reason to own one. And though the T5 has 100 more horse-power, because of the sport suspension, it rides stiffer. The 2.4i at least has a smoother ride.
Pros: The styling/look of the vehicle.
Cons: It's not as quite on the inside, with windows up and doors close, as I would expected it to be.
Advice: For those of you that want the look, more for your money, saftety and comfort this is it!The test drive was good and it handles very well.
