Decent little SUV
Pros: Seat comfort
Cons: Highway noise
Overall, very decent vehicle. The only downsides so far...1) very noisy highway driving, and 2) rides like a small car (previous car was 02 Passat)Touareg Magic
Pros: Luxury and Performance
Cons: High maintenance cost
I have owned my 2004 Touareg (V8) since new and enjoyed every moment of ownership. All aspects of the SUV (power, construction quality, comfort, etc.) are outstanding except the high cost of wear items, e.g. brakes, rotors, etc., but this is a small price to pay for a vehicle that provides so much joy to drive. Although the Touareg weighs in at 5300 lbs., the 310 HP motor will provide plenty of power to propel the SUV from stand-still and roll-on in a manner that almost makes you believe you are in a sports car. By the way, I also own a BMW M5 that I enjoy driving but for all purpose driving I pick the Touareg.Never Again
Pros: The style
Cons: That the car did not make it to 100,000 miles without major repairs.
This car has been the worst car I have ever purchased. I have purchased 16 new cars from BMW to Jeeps. I have had close to 8 thousand dollars in repairs over the past 6 yrs with this car, from drive shaft, ele issues to tranmission and 4 CD players. I will never buy another VW.Pros: handeling and performance and the overall feel of the road. and what a cool roof
Cons: excellent hi-tech features and hook ups on radio, but could sound better
Advice: 18' wheels for handeling, 4-motion for capability, roof for a great experience for all passengers
my first and last words on the test drive were, 'wow'. A real drivers vehicle.Pros: I like the entire vehicle.
Cons: the radio knob.
Advice: Shop around and do your car homework
This vehicle has the same motor as the Volkswagen CC. The Tiguan was smooth as I punched the gas. Feeling that turbo kick in and assist in extra power raised my brow to a mmmmm. The motor runs like a very well oiled machine. The brakes have a good response and the thing will stop on a dime. The interior is very comfortable. The seats are easy to change positions. So I bought one...Pros: Interior and Air Suspension
Cons: No standard GPS
Advice: BUY IT!! and LOVE IT!!
This is an excellent SUV plus it's a 100% German. You can't say no to a german car and it's comfortable, great looking especially with those Xenon Lights and the air suspension is awesome great off roader and great during terrible weather I recommended BUY IT and LOVE IT!!Pros: Performance
Cons: Electronics
Advice: Do not buy this car unless you can confirm electronic issues have been worked out.
I have a 2004 Touareg (ignore title)The V-8 engine provides 310hp, plenty to get the Touareg moving quickly. Very smooth on the road and comfortable too. The air suspension can be adjusted for a firm, sporty ride or a softer, more luxurious ride. It really is a comfortable and fun to drive car. That's why it is too bad VW didn't work harder on the quality control. I have had numerous electronic problems, notably a cruise control that did not work the day of delivery (a bad omen, I guess), CD got stuck in the CD player, just recently installed third battery in two years, tires are too soft for the weight of the vehicle and wore out by 21,000 miles, xenon headlights had problems autoleveling, compass light goes on and off periodically, seat memory does not always work, etc, etc. I can't wait to get a new car.
