    2008 Volkswagen R32

    Small car, big performance

    Pros: MPG & MPH

Cons: An oil change is $130.00 (full synthetic and VW filter, etc.

My R32 VW gets 22 MPG in city driving and 155 MPH on the highway. What a great combination.

    2004 Volkswagen R32 - Base

    Pros: Interior Quality, Durability.

    Cons: Wheels

Advice: Have no fear when you buy this car, it was built to be driven. Just be ready for the AWD maintenance, 93 octance gas, and synthetic oil! But all money well spent...

I've owned my R32 for roughly 2 years and by far it has been the best decision ive ever made. I drove the Sti and Evo but plastic interiors and big wings dont suit me. For the average joe who wants a convienent car thats a hell of a lot of fun to drive, this hatchback is for you. Too bad you cant get em anymore...

    2004 Volkswagen R32 - Base

Pros: ALL WHEEL DRIVE AND HANDLING

    Cons: LACK OF POWER

Advice: DONT SLEEP ON IT!!! IF YOU CAN FIND ONE BUY IT!!!

I'M ONE OF THE 5000 LUCKY ONES WHO KOWS WHAT THE VW R32 IS. IN 2002 I BOUGHT A NEW 1.8T JETTA. I WAS SOLD ON THE TEST DRIVE. THAN IN 2004 THE R32 WAS BORN.I HAD TO SAY GOODBYE TO MY LITTLE 1.8. FOR THE MONEY THE R 32 IS THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE VEHICLE OUT THERE. I TRIED TO SLIDE ON A WET ASPHALT SURFACE WHILE THE G-FORCE SIDEWAYS HAD ME PLANTED INTO THE WRAPAROUND SEAT AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO LET GO. DRY ASPHALT, DONT BE AFRAID THIS CAR WILL TAKE THE TURNS. EVO AND STI MIGHT WIN IN A DRAG RACE BUT THESE CARS ARE BUILT TO HANDLE AND WILL LOSE ON A TRACK WITH TURNS AGAINST VW'S R32. IF YOU LIKE A CAR THAT HOLDS YOU AS WELL AS IT HOLDS THE ROAD AND IS ABLE TO STOP ON A DIME DON'T HESITATE TO BUY THE R 32 IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.......

    2004 Volkswagen R32 - Base

Pros: Power train ( engine, AWD, 6sp M)

Cons: No Nav or HID headlights.

Advice: Drive this last cause you will buy it !

I test drove all the other ' suspects' in the preformance sedan/ coupe area. The EVO and STI are crazy fast , but how will they hold up 4-5 years down the road. The seats in this car are among the most conforatble made. AWD, and Torquey VR6 , World class Breaks, and a Top notch VAG interior make this car a steal for the money. Too bad they are all gone in 11 months with no advertising...

    2004 Volkswagen R32 - Base

    Pros: Drivetrain

    Cons: Would like 4 doors

Advice: Drive everything, but buy one quick

Have been in car buying investigation mode for 6 months, drove just about everything that's under 40K and engineered for driving pleasure. Liked driving the WRX but couldn't get past its appearance, chintzy materials, and noise...just envisioned the car in a couple of years, knew it would be a mess. Liked the RX-8 but already have a small sports car, needed something practical. Drove the R32 and simply found nirvana. Not the fastest, but I'm not a street racer either. But for simple driving enjoyment, with a dollop of comfort, quality, practicality, and discretion...this car just can't be beat. Can only think of 3 cars I'd change this one for under 60K, the M3, S4, and CTS-V...nothing else can give you the whole enchilada and for about 25K less than those.
