Very good truck. Wish I could keep her forever
Best truck overall. Basic maintenance is all required (all fluids, battery, tires, etc) nothing major and still runs great.
Dependable, reliable and predictable. Plenty of power, with balance and control.
This is a great truck and serves me very well. 15years and still going strong. Still able to tow and climb steep hills and valleys.
This is a very nice well cared for truck. Only real problem has been the sorry front brakes. They're down to about 25 % now, just couldn't justify replacing until now. Putting on dimpled and slotted rotors with premium ceramic pads soon. Rotors guaranteed not to warp. This will cure the only problem I've had except a recall on lower ball joints early in it's life.
great truck for both driving and towing
Pros: power, 6 speed trans, stainless exhaust from headers back, looks, overall performance, great on snow and ice
Cons: lack of differential ratio options and audio problems for this year vehicle
Love the truck. Wish Toyota would offer different differential ratios for mileage and for those of us who don't need to pull 10K. 15-18.5 mpg would go up considerably. Delco radio for this year not up to the quality of the Toyota reputation. Great truck otherwise. Will buy another one soon. 42K miles and only problem is radio and brake light problem still under investigation.Pros: Optional cloth captains seats
Cons: Poor quality front brakes
I own the Limited Extra Cab.I've fixed it up to suit me.Stainless steel steps,ARE hard bed cover, spray in bed liner, wind deflector front of hood.I added a K&N air filter, and installed a Borla exhaust system in my driveway, easy installation.Sweet sound, not too loud. My only complaint, the front brakes.Obviously too small,or poor quality rotors. When it's time for brakes,I'll put on better rotors and calipers. I guess Toyota took care of that problem on the larger 2007 model, but too late for the prior years.I hate it when I'm told about warping due to hot rotor and driving in the rain.If I wasn't planning to drive in the rain I would have bought another motorcycle.I'm easy on brakes,82,000 miles on my 2002 Acura TL-S original front brakes.
