Pros: Toyota reliability
Cons: Dated styling and features
Advice: Wait till it is redesigned in 2009.
Sloppy handling in turns...not agile...much sway...big and bulky...smooth straight away driving and smooth transmission.Pros: The smooth and predictable performance
Cons: 3rd row seats
Advice: Try it last...give the others a fighting chance
Superbly crafted, comfortable, impeccable on and off road manners...look, research and drive every SUV out there and then get acquainted with this vehicle...it is spectacular. I have owned Touaregs, Explorers, Trailblazers, Audi, and the Land Cruiser is heads and shoulders above them all in my experience. Great options for the inclement weather and/or off road driver.....Pros: Interior, it's beautiful and comfy and smells great.
Cons: Navigation system disclaimer every time you start the car.
Advice: Expensive vehicle to own and maintain, but worth it. Good Resale
I love this car, but it's not perfect... Quality of the interior is fabulous. Navigation system is great if you have the time to learn it, it's complicated and expensive to keep updated. I do alot of long distance driving on mountain roads and the car seems a bit top-heavy around corners. Gas milege is bleak and it needs premium fuel, but you can drive it all day long at 85 MPH and it runs like a dream.Pros: Everything Style, navi, camera
Cons: 3 rd row seat
Advice: buy it
This car is specatcular!! The navigation system, back-up camera, everything, it's amazing.Pros: Comfort and driving position
Cons: Fuel consumption and the fact that the U.S. model (I'm in Australia) get wood grain
Advice: Check the rest and come back to the best. But don't buy it unless you really need the features.
Everything about the car is wonderful. It's very comfortable to drive, especially over long distances. There's plenty of room for my family (wife plus 3 kids)and all their bits. I drove many SUV's but nothing except the LX470 came close, but I couldn't stretch that far. My brother has the BMW X5, and whilst the Toyota certainly wouldn't catch the BMW on a straight highway, the Toyota leaves the BMW for dead where it really counts for SUVs. Offroad. Great car, fuel consumption is a but high.Pros: Rear backup camera
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: buy one that is one year old and get the extended warranty. The first year has the most depreciation
This truck rides like a luxury coupe. It is the Lexus LX 470 for $12,000 less. We absolutely love it.Pros: Quality
Cons: -0-
Advice: Go for it, wonderful vehicle perfect in all ways.
I have purchase a new 2005 Land Cruiser after owning 6 Toyota products the last being another Land Cruiser. Without a doubt the finest automobile on the road, only one thing, I am just too dumb to figure out the GPS, but I am workkng on, they need a manual for DUMMIES, it would fit me and help me.
