Best I have had - - since 1950!
Pros: Hybrid Drive - - wish it was all-electric
Cons: no dislikesA nice vehicle, larger inside than it looks. Controls are easy, once you learn to start & shift with the brake on. Recalls have been trivial.
Good value for the money!
Pros: Fuel economy
Cons: Not very quickSo it's not fast or luxurious, but it's reliable and gets good gas mileage. Have almost 160,000 miles on it so far. Not disappointed.
Best Car I Ever Owned: Prius
Pros: 52 MPG on the highway, fully loaded with people and cargo
Cons: Glove compartment finish on 2005 model scratches easilyAs kids we thought of taking energy from braking with generators, be we couldn't control the process fast enough with mechanical switching. 30= years later fast microcomputers made it all controllable. Besides the excellent technology, the appointments, gadgets, and performance are great. Traction control on ice and hard pack snow is marvelous. This is bar-none the best vehicle I have ever owned in my 45 years of driving.
Pros: automatic cooling in summer
Cons: no power seathas all the features I wish were on the 2008 prius I previously owned. fantastic mileage more power better power in power mode
Can't beat this value
Pros: Great car, low cost.
Cons: I have no complaints. The Toyota Matrix is a car that's hard to beat for value. It is a reliable and highly utilitarian vehicle. I always reserve final judgment on a vehicle until I have at least a couple of hundred thousand miles on it. In my opinion a car only proves itself with long term reliability. I only have 100,000 miles on it, but have had literally no service issues with it. I had new front brake pads installed, a new battery, and that's it. It has very decent acceleration for this type of vehicle. The ride is pretty good considering its small size. I have hauled some relatively heavy loads. With the back seat and the front passenger seat folded down, it will hold a surprising amount of cargo. I have a long wheel base recumbent bike that fits nicely in the car without removing any tires. The gas mileage is very good. It is the cheapest car to operate that I have ever owned. It just keeps running and running. I put a little gas in it, change the oil every 3-4,000 miles, and drive it. The brakes are excellent. The handling is surprising for this type of car. It is responsive, fun and a great all around runabout. It is even good on the highway. We also own a Camry, which is an excellent car as well, but I prefer the Matrix. I am 60 years old and have owned quite a number of cars, but the Matrix is easily my fave. It puts my last two BMW's to shame.
Pros: hybrid technology
Cons: The car gets buffeted In high windsMy Prius is a level 6 with leather seats, navigation and all the bells and whistles available. The ride is comfortable with ample leg room in front and rear. I've driven 37000 miles with out any problems at all. The average MPG since we have this car is just under 48mpg. This is a leased vehicle and I am considering buying the car at the end of the lease
Just what I Wanted
Cons: nothingHave had my Prius over a week and I love it. The ride is great , gas milage is wonderful, plenty of room for 4, have not tried 5 people in the car yet. It is a great car!!!
