    2007 Toyota Camry - XLE V6 (A6)

    Pros: Power and quietness

Cons: Plastic details on the inside door panels

Advice: Test drive it both in the city and on the freeway

While many reviewers comment on quality control issues, so far I have seen none. Admittedly, this vehicle was manufactured at the end of the model year run, it seems fine in every regard. Power is more than adequate and the six-speed transmission shifts seamlessly and shows none of the problems associated with earlier 07 built models. There is an unnatural downshifting of the transmission at slower speeds, however, and feels much like a manual downshift. This was evident in my 03 LE V6; it is somewhat disconcerting but must be a feature endemic to Toyota. Gas mileage is great for a car of this weight and power. There is an interesting mix of leather, faux wood, and plastic in the interior. Overall, the seats are comfortable, but lack bolsters. The rest of the interior is comfortable but a little tight getting in the back seat. Once in, there is plenty of leg room and hip room. While many have commented on its styling (pro and con), I think the redesigned Camry is more appealing than the 02-06 models. Overall, a very good car that fills the bill for good, basic, and reliable transportation with the bells and whistles most people want in this price range.

    2007 Toyota Camry - LE (A5)

Pros: Door handle to quickly exit the car while cussing.

Cons: Near death experiences when hesitation occurs while the semi rushes up behind me blowing the horn.

Advice: Buy a used Yugo before you buy the 07 Camry LE V4 5AT.

DO NOT PURCHASE THE 2007 CAMRY LE V4 5AT. Look at the reviews in the car websites before you even think about it. I purchased one in May '06. There is a serious hesitation problem when accelerating. Three visits to the dealership in the past year, one for an inspection by a factory rep, and I've been told that the car is operating within factory specs. I can assure you that the car is not operating within factory specs, and Toyota has chosen to ignore this problem. You do not want to have your family in this car with you for fear of being rear-ended when the hesitation occurs. I'm already in the arbitration phase and since I already know the outcome, it's the Lemon Law next.

    2007 Toyota Camry - LE (A5)

    Pros: overall style

Cons: lack of power on inclines

Advice: drive on inclines first especially on the hwy.

I like the style, comfort & dash/steering wheel features. I'm not crazy about the lag in power on inclines especially on the hwy. Why does it have less power than my 04 model? I thought things should be improved in newer models - not the opposite.

    2007 Toyota Camry - LE (A5)

    Pros: Size

Cons: Hesitation and constant transmission shifting on slight grades.

Advice: Make sure the care was manufactured after February, 07.

I bought my new Camry in November and the hesitation is driving me nuts. I've had it back to the dealer three times, the last was with the factory rep. They say everything is within factory tolerance and nothing else can be done. Looks like I'm stuck with something I'm not satisfied with. Way to go, 'Number 1 selling auto in America'. See if you get my business again!

    2006 Toyota Camry - XLE V6 (A5)

    Pros: style and smoothness

    Cons: front passenger seat

    Advice: Check front passenger seat

Great car. The only thing I do not like is the passenger seat will not raise. It will go forward or recline. Other than that, it is smooth, plenty power and qiet. Toyota needs to correct the front passenge seat in the 08 models.

    2007 Toyota Camry - LE V6 (A6)

    Pros: Powerful engine

Cons: Wind noise from the rear window openings on the freeway

Advice: No warries, if you don't want to blow up your payments with the higher priced cars.

I think this car is a very well made and well priced vehicle, except one aerodynamic aspect. When I drove on the freeway with rear windows open about 1/4, I was hearing the sound of the wind beatting against the gaps of the window openings. So, I have to open the windows more than 1/2, or open the front windows also, when I drive on the freeway. Other than that, I am satisfied with this car. The strong and powerful engine, stylish look, great audio, and all the safty appointments make me smile everytime I sit behind the wheel.
