Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
This has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. I have followed the recommended service schedule and have been rewarded with excellent service from my car. As an elderly woman (71), I need a reliable, safe and economical vehicle. My little camry is great on the highway and still gets 28 mpg overall, city and highway. My next auto will be a Toyota.
This is an excellent overall family car. Watch out for the water pump as they have the tendency to fail right around warranty to expire. My car was replaced under warranty...
Sporty and comfortable sedan. One of first Toyota's with SS timing belt chain and exhaust. Just replaced muffler at 242,000 miles and 11 years. Interior fabric is only thing that wasn't ideal and quite comfortable. Peppy 5 speed manual and tinted power windows makes the newer Camry seem a bit boring and last made on the Lexus line. 17" rims with power sun/moon roof make it a daily joy and 2-3 days a year with it was AWD, however for other 362-363 love it. Starting to burn oil at 235K.
Bottom line up front - this is a competent family hauler that is comfortable and spacious. The V6 has great straight line acceleration and I have averaged 22/25/29 MPG. Where the vehicle lets you down is how it feels to drive, but that isn't the point of this vehicle. No matter what, you can't go wrong with it.
Interior needs updated too much plastic. Console by shifter scratches easily. Tpms gauges need to be accurate and be able to tell which tire is low. Soft ex is a great material but inserts in car seats makes interior look dated and cheap.
This makes my third toyota Camary. I use to buy gm vehicles but after the warranty ran out and I would continue to spend money to no end I tried the Camary, I don't think I will ever switch back. The car that toyota makes is a great vehicle. It runs and runs. If it weren't,t for my son totaling it out I still be driving my first one. My wife total the second one. I am driving the tHird one, hopefully this will not get totaled. I really wish the american car companies could follow the jJapanes.
Cute and Economical
Pros: The bright red exterior with the charcoal interior
Cons: It is hard to see past the headrests in the back. I will probably take them out.
Toyota is known for durability and economy. They also keep engineering the engine to run smoothly and increase the gas mileage. The color will get me in trouble - I will have to be a more careful driver now!
