Toyota is a full-line automobile manufacturer with headquarters in Aichi, Japan. Toyota is a global brand that competes with General Motors for the title of world's largest automaker. Toyota is capable of manufacturing passenger cars, trucks, vans, and commercial vehicles. Toyota-owned brands offered in the US include Toyota, Scion, and Lexus. Toyota History

Toyota as we know it today was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1933 for the purpose of manufacturing automobiles. Kiichiro Toyoda was the son of Sakichi Toyoda, the inventor of the automotive loom and founder of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. To this day Toyota continues to manufacture textile equipment. The first Toyoda vehicles, the A1 prototype and the G2 truck were completed in 1935. In 1937, the company changed its name to Toyota Motor Co., and became independent of the loom works. In 1938, Toyota pioneered "just-in-time" manufacturing processes. The 100,000th Toyota vehicle was produced in 1947 and ten years later Toyota Motor Sales USA was established in 1957. The line-up of used Toyota autos includes numerous hybrids, compacts, sedans, SUVs, Crossovers, and Trucks.
