Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: The whole car.
Cons: The way it handles
Advice: Drive it.
Totally fun to drive. Never wanted a wagon, but this one is sporty. Better than my suv. Lots of room! But, there is a but, road noise! When on a highway that is not 'smooth', can hear the rumble of the road, we just turn up the stereo, and discuss getting better tires. Also, wasn't even in the market for a a Vibe, till drove it. Love at first site.Pros: I love the spaciousness of both front and back seating.
Cons: The cheap feel of the gears as you shift.
Advice: Look at the Matrix as a good alternative...perhaps they have figured out the kinks.
I was amazed at the spaciousness of the car, four tall adults fit very comfortably. The additional features of a fold-down front seat, split seating in the back, cubby spaces, the 115v outlet and sliding visors are nice touches. Wish Pontiac would come up with a hard case cargo cover rather than the 'after-thought' they slapped on. Hate the hard plastic cargo space...would much prefer something with carpeting or rubberized matting. The tie-downs are problematic. Shifting on the GT is not intuitive and in fact, a bit onerous on the downshift...somewhat cheap feeling. Finally, would like to see the car add a few more refinements to really make it stand out among similar cars.Pros: Love the power features and the overall look of the car... it is HOT!
Cons: Headrest is poorly positioned (forward angle is uncomfortable)
Advice: It's a great car in most ways - just get creative with seat cushioning for a more comfortable ride!
Bought the 2006 with high expectations, and it has met most. Love the look (Abyss sparkles!), the high driver's seat, the gas mileage on long trips (it LOVES to run... gotta watch the pedal!). Love the instument panel, and the temperature guage is such a convenience. I've got a 5-speed, and the shifting is usually smoothe and sure (occasionally sticking when downshifting from 5 to 4, but that could be driver error). Drove through intense rainstorm and felt totally secure, and it churned uphill on a still-snowy street even without AWD with confidence. So overall, inside and out, I'm pleased with my new Vibe.Pros: AWD
Cons: Driver and pass seats feel cramped for those who are bigger
Advice: get the all wheel drive
Front interior seems cramped. Good legroom in the rear. Hard plastic cargo area is wonderful for those with pets and young children. Good power for its class. Fuel economy is great. It would be awsome if they would make manual transmission an option for the AWD model.Pros: The MGP of a Sunfire and room of an SUV
Cons: Armrests, there are none
Advice: I would suggest it, this vehicle fits all needs and is the best thing out of GM!
I took this out for a test drive: sweet, good pickup, roomy as a small SUV, comfortable and affordable.Pros: Awesome gas mileage
Cons: No complaints here, could use a little more power but would probably have to comprimise great gas mileage
Advice: A+ one of the best vehicles for your dollar, you get the room of an SUV, mileage of a Jetta and comfort of a luxury vehicle.
Drives nice, good suspension, roomy and nice cd system.Pros: The look of the car, futuristic.
Cons: Those rails on the top of the car. Should be an option.
Advice: Its not only for those young at heart, I'm in my 50's and its a great car.
One of the best little car I have had. I am a karaoke DJ and it hauls my equipment around just right. Good gas mileage and ride.
