Rides fine for a mini van. Acceleration is adequate.Pros: park aid
Cons: no auto traction system
Advice: great vehicle! Nice and roomy!
Drives smooth, lots of room for extra stuff. Really good gas mileage. Auto sliding door is really nice! Wires on the inside were loose, causing it to stall. Got it fixed under warranty. Runs great!Pros: The look of an SUV with features of a minivan
Cons: just the poor manufacturing of this vehicle
Advice: lease it
Montana SV6 short wheelbase. Found the front suspension to be poor in curves when going over bumps, steering jolts from side to side. the manufacturing of this my montana SV6 was poor, had over 12 warranty issues in the first 5 months (6000km), seats don't hold their form. Seat material not researched very well, everything stains, not suitable for children. Side doors are difficult to open and close. The short wheel base is not a smooth ride, you can feel ever ripple in the road. Appearance is what attracted me, but over all, poor manufacturing. Squamish, British Columbia, CanadaPros: Responsive steering, more car for the money
Cons: The red light instrument guages may take a little while to get used to at night
Advice: The savings with Pontiac is dramatic when you look at comparably equipped imports.
The Montana has very good handling, decent acceleration, and fine braking. The seats are nicely contoured and the ride is quiet and well controlled. Most safety features are standard, such as driver and passenger front AND side impact air bags, ABS, and daytime running lamps. Other options are available individually or in packages. The integrated enterainment system includes cordless headphones and two channels. We also averaged 26 mpg on the highway! With the various GM rebates, the Montana is a great value compared to the imports.
