A very enjoyable car
Pros: interior design
Cons: nothing
Great car to drive. I do not drive it in the winter.Pros: Overall Performance!
Cons: Blind spot in convertibles. Hidden headlamp and power window motors are issues.
Advice: Watch out for 'abused' examples. Check insurance costs first!
Amazing performance! Incredible styling that still gets NEW CAR comments even though 5 model years old. A modern day classic with very few convertibles built in 2001 (only 796) and 2002 (less than 1,000). Getting a low mileage well maintained example is still possible but be careful of the abused ones. These cars can be ruined no matter how tough the engines are. Do your ownership homework!Pros: LS1
Cons: long hood, sound system, flickering lights, cheap paint
Advice: be careful
When I first got in the car I was questionable about the luxuriousness and driveability of it. It seemed as like it sat a bit low to the ground to my liking, and the hood was remarkably long. On the three hour journey home every bad thought I had about the car was contradicted. The hood was fine, because if it wasnt as long as it is the amazing LS1 wouldnot fit in. The car has a superior look to its competitors. I believe its one of the best looking modern muscle cars. After driving this car there are a few flaws to look out for: A: the headlights flicker due to the alternator not spinning out enough power at idle RPM B: a bit of a klunky t56 transmission (the 6 spd's) C: cheap interior features such as dash board and instrument cluster and D: horrible sound system. The sound system really doesnt matter all too much for me because its very simple to replace, however it can be expensive. BUT! wouldnt you rather listen to the nice sounding V8? For how much you get with this car, the sound system is really not a huge deal and its not something thats going to turn a potential buyer away. For all the positives there are only a few cons. When you first get in that car and step on the gas pedal you will definitely know that youve made a good decision. If your considering buying a car that I own, or a Camaro, or Vette you can email me and I can help you outPros: Sleek Style
Cons: A little tight to get in
Advice: Test for a while, not made for tall folks. Very limited trunk space
Handles as well as it looks. Tight steering and very quick for a 6 cyl. I love this car, it's a shame they stopped making them.Pros: The Engine is very smooth and powerful
Cons: visability with convertible top up is limited you need to use the side mirrors
Advice: Get the V-8 decent economy and incredible torque when you need it
Very smooth in the power aspect ,unlimited power at any speed , great handling on wet or dry surface and curves does not need the traction control usally leave it off just gets in the way, decent fuel economy , nice sounding enginePros: Horsepower
Cons: NOTHING
Advice: Best TA ever
More horsepower factory than the Camero SS & Mustang cobraPros: 5.7L V-8
Cons: A little short on leg room.
Advice: Get one before they're gone
Handles like a dream. Extremely powerful and beautiful lines. I am sad that GM felt the need to kill off the last muscle car...
