Pros: Power & acceleration
Advice: you won't get a better SUV for the moneyI bought an SE with the comfort, premium & leather packages. I just love it!!
Pros: Hatchback door like other SUV's, but door can stay closed and rear window can open! Perfect room in the back seat for my 10 year old!
Cons: Front doors are very short, and I have to duck to get in, and I am only 6 feet tall. Cannot be over 5 feet tall and sit in the back seat comfortably with a 2nd person.
Advice: Get the luggage racks, before you buy. Dealer will say 'I'll get you some' but he is lying.Good strong SUV! Runs very tight, with good response from the engine. The last gear on the transmission could kick down a little more. Driving 60 mph only gets the tach down to just over 2000. Have achieved 22 mpg, but never 23. Never less than 18 though. Luggage on top really takes a chunk out of the mileage. Get a rack that attaches to the tow bar. Anti-lock brakes work great, as well as the VDC control, which keeps you from over accelerating/braking and losing control.
Pros: Powerful 6 cyl. engine
Cons: Cheap plastic door insides and other cheap plastic knobs
Advice: Offer invoice price these things aren't moving off lot real fast. Be patient they will call you.Top quality and safety for the money. Everything for a family with smaller children and still power for dad to find those remote hiking trails in the mountains. Mom likes leather seats and controls on the steering wheel. Kids love roominess and amenities for them. Not for 6 adults, and gas mileage isn't great, but better than Ford and Dodge. Pilot is too wussy looking and doesn't appear great for the off road.
Pros: The power
Cons: seat covers
Advice: buy oneAwesome, great power, looks great.
Cons: The look of the car
Advice: not for you if very worried about gas mileageThe ride can feel a bit harsh, but expected because it's a real S.U.V. Power is is very nice. Did fine in the sand dunes.
Pros: The look and Power
Cons: comfort......it is worst than driving a c-class car...
Advice: dont get it.....invst your $ in Landrover or something else....I fell in love with this monster not knowing it will become my nightmare. I have taken it back to shop more than 5 times. The new service manager claims vibration is not that bad. I drove with him and witness heavy vibration at 70 miles....Now getting an attorney to deal with it. Sorry...
Cons: Heating/cooling controls
Advice: If buying used vehicle, inspect closely for rust. Inquire about bodywork. We love the styling and performance of this vehicle. We agree with other raters that the the heating/cooling controls are not intuitive to use and are very slow to adjust. In comparison, the controls on other Nissan vehicles (X-trail, Infiniti G35) are far superior. Our major concern is rust appearing on a vehicle that is less than one year old. It was recalled for a defect in the tailgate trim that caused erosion through the underlying paint and rusting. However, we have noticed small rust points on many other spots, and it is less than a year old. Our relatives just bought a new X-trail and the chrome trim is also rusting. Not sure what is going on with Nissan's rustproofing process and I don't know if this is a widespread problem or if our Pathfinder is simply defective. I should also mention that the rusting is occuring despite purchasing the electronic rustproofing unit and paint treatments from the dealer.
