Advice: be prepared to show your vehicle off to friends and coworkersfun
Pros: seating capacity
Cons: gas - but what else is new
Advice: Seriously look at standard features before adding on optionsThis car rides well for a large SUV. Traded in a 2002 Highlander for the additional seating and storage. Found the Armada to give us the extra seat (adult + 2 car seats in 2nd row) plus third row folds flat or stays up and can still fit all the groceries. The other cars we looked at did not do that. Second row has excellent leg room. Base SE 4x4 model comes with tons of standard features which were all options on the Sequoia. Driver seat more comfortable also. First day driving in icy, snowy weather and the 4x4, brakes et al handled excellent!! Love it so far and can't wait for our first road trip! Oh yeah, the dealer was excellent - would never deal with another Toyota dealer, bye bye Toyota, hello Nissan.
Pros: Automatic seat control and power rear door
Cons: Taking it back to dealer to repair the apparent brake/handling problem
Advice: Be aware that Nissan opening acknowledges (after purchase) that they have problems with the brakes and steering of the Armada and the TitanTest drive went fine. It's the problems that developed after purchase that are troubling.
Pros: Appeal and comfort
Cons: Nothing yet
Advice: Great buy for the money...same as the Infiniti QX56, but for less the cost.Drives very smooth for a large vehicle. Acceleration is instantaneous and braking is excellent. It took a little while for me to get use to the size of the vehicle, but handling for the most part was very good.
Pros: The package.
Cons: The performance
Advice: You will not experience until you test drive. If affordable than other SUV. More options are standards to Armada.
Cons: Drivers seat too flat
Advice: EnjoyPower is unbeleivable, towed a 6500 pound boat at 65 MPH up Vail pass. There are some rattles but the size, legroom and power make up for that. Gas mileage is better than my underpowered Expedition.
Pros: comfortable cabin
Cons: poor quality of the fit and finish
Advice: Please listen carefully before you buyI love everything about my 2004 Armada...except the constant ticking noise and rattling upon acceleration that I have been told by 3 Nissan service mechanics is coming from my fuel injectors. There are other miscellaaneous cabin sounds, like rattling in dashboard and fluttering sound when you hit a bump. My advice is listen carefully before you buy. On my test drive, I heard sounds that I assumed could be repaired under warranty, but Nissan North America says it is aware of the fuel injector noise, but there is no way to fix it at this time, instead they call it a 'customary sound'. If it bothers you on test drive, please assume that it won't get better. It is an expensive mistake to think otherwise. If anyone else has the same fuel injector noise I would love to hear from you via email.
