Pros: navigation system and dvd
Cons: the brakes
Advice: ask about the brake problem because the brakes are very importantI had leased my armada 3/25/05. I have problems with the brakes. They have heated up so much that it has caused the rotors to warp.Which started at 3800 miles. I have to three people at the dealership the morning I brought my truck in and they have all had the same problem. This is something Nissan is aware of. The only problem is that the dealers don't have the parts yet, so they cut my rotors to stop the steering wheel from shaking.I really believe that nissan is aware of this problem which doesn't make me a satisfied customer.
Pros: ROOMY, THE BOSE SYSTEM, LEATHER INTERIOR
Advice: CHECK FOR THAT VIBRATIONI PURCHASED MY ARMADA IN DEC. 2004. I'VE HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP TWICE SINCE I PURCHASED IT. NO DOUBT IT'S A BEAUTY AND THE PERFORMANCE IS GREAT. THERE IS ONE PROBLEM, 'THE BRAKING SYSTEM'. THE TRUCK VIBRATES TERRIBLY WHEN ACCELERATING OVER 70 MPH OR MORE. THE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THE ROTORS ARE TOO THIN ON THE 2004 ARMADAS, THEREFORE WHEN ACCELERATING HIGH SPEED OR DRIVING ON UNEVEN SURFACES, IT WARPS THE ROTORS CAUSING THE VIBRATION.
Pros: The room and the ride, ease of use on the rear DVD
Advice: Get the Navigation and the DVD (if you have kids)We love the ride and the room, family friendly. Rotors warp every 3-6000 miles (need to be upgraded). Navigation System is great(when working) Rear DVD is absolutly awesome! We love to take trips in it with the 3 boys. I have 2nd row buckets so we have to use 3rd row seats, not much room behind it so we bought a roof top carrier for long trips, works great.
Cons: Limited head room in third row seat.
Advice: Great for road trips. Most stylish SUV I have seen.Comfortable and agile for such a large SUV.
Cons: Poorly designed and inadequate braking system for the size/weight of the Armada. I am disappointed Nissan has not found a permanent fix to this maintenance nightmare.
Advice: I would hold off purchasing this vehicle until Nissan comes out with a permanent fix for their obvious brake issue. The Armada has great acceleration and a firm but comfortable ride. The interior is very user friendly but I found the middle seats a bit difficult to set back up in their upright postions.
Pros: Well-appointed interior, spacious second row with reclining seat backs, power rear hatch.
Cons: Brakes are horrible! Bose sound system is disappointing.
Advice: Wait until the brake problem is fixed before purchasing.Fast, powerful and comfortable! Great amenities inside for the price. I was torn between a sports sedan and a large SUV. I got the best of both worlds! Nissan did a great job on this one. I can't imagine the all new 07 Tahoe could have more to offer than Armada. This is the fastest SUV I have driven... full-size or otherwise. Handling is nice but it is hard to park. A-pillers create blind spot while cornering or on winding roads. Because of all the brake dust you will always drive a dirty vehicle. Wheels need to be cleaned weekly. Still a good buy. I have no regrets. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Drinks gas (what else would a 5.6 Liter do?). Can't wait for hybrid version.
Pros: Style and space
Cons: Apparent brake problems
Advice: Ask about the brakesI purchased my vehicle on March 7, 2005. I am experiencing brake problems and have been advised by Nissan service department that there is a problem with the brakes that they are aware of.
