Pros: Style is great
Cons: The interior quality of the vehicle is extremely poor.
Advice: Don't buy. There are many better quality vehicles out there for the same money. I will be selling mine. This car has great power and is very nimble. It rides rough although this can be expected from a high performance vehicle. It has a serious blind spot so be careful when changing lanes with the top up. The thing that is very discomforting is the fact the overall quality of the interior and trim rates very poor. The drivers side leather seat has serious cracks in the leather, the paint job near the trunk lid scratches very easy, the cloth top had to be replaced due to a hole, the speedometer, and fuel gage needed repair, and the list goes on. This is a car with 14,000 miles on it and is only driven back and forth to work by an older woman. Nissan says the seat wearing out is normal wear and tear and the paint is of poor quality which even the dealer admitted to but Nissan will not stand behind either.
Pros: power of the engine and sound
Cons: hitting the seat when jumping in
Advice: For an sports' car fan, this is the car you want. The car is a thrill. I bought the car used. A 03 with 29k on it. Pure sports car. Stiff suspension and hard in the curves( two sway bars). Gas milleage it is still low, but for a 3.5 L is ok. The seats are great, only one problem, when you jump in you hit the left side of the driver's seat, eventually with the time , it will peel off or wear out. Performance is awesome, I 'm peelling out in third gear at about 5000 RPM, I love it. It is roomy accompanied by a well designed interior. For an sports car fan this is the car you want.
Pros: Torque, horsepower, and appearance
Cons: Premature Tire Wear, cupping, feathering, growling noise
Advice: The tire wear issue is severe. Nissan claims it only applies to the 2003 model, and will not cover it, however, my 2004 has the exact same problem as the 2003.The 2004 350Z Roadster is a great drivers car with a major flaw (very major): premature front end tire wear. While Nissan acknowledges the problem for its 2003 models, they claim that the exact same tire wear issue (uneven wear, cupping, and feathering which causes a loud 'growling' noise in the front end) does not apply to 2004 and later models. Unfortunately, that is not true, so expect to replace tires every 2k to 5k miles at $200 each tire.
Pros: The car was quite fast and driving it was a pleasure.
Cons: The design flaw with regards to not being able to adjust the camber leads to tire problems at very low mileage and the interior quality was not very good.
Advice: Shop around and ask questions about the tire problems which is due to an alignment flaw. This Car has spirit and handles reasonably well. The drop down top works well. The major problem is the tire feathering issue which Nissan tends to keep quiet. The tires were shot at 10K miles and after sevral fruitless discussions with Nissan, I traded the Nissan for a BMW. Sorry, but could not be bothered to change tires every 8K miles.
Pros: sticky tires
Cons: Wait Wait Wait theres the power.
Advice: make sure u get on it and feel for the motor. The car is very attractive. I was expecting a little more with the 33K sticker. Its a great car if it was around 24. A 2004 Mustang GT can stick right along. It is something new and adds ontothe famous Z name. But id rather have my 2 backseats, the grunt, and the 9k. Its a good car if ur willing to buy it just cuz u want the Z name but other than that a Mustang GT and Corvette are much better. The only thing this car has over them is the way u can really throw this car around, its very sticky.
Cons: Front tire wear problem and customer service.
Advice: DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!2003 350Z's have uneven front tire wear, Nissan has extended their warranty to 2 years. BAD NEWS for 2004 350Z owners with the same problem Nissan does not believe the issue affects 04's. I bought this car 6 months ago brand new, and now have to pay 1300.00 dollars for new tires and service. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!
Cons: Interior amenities needed some dress up
Advice: Drive it, buy it!This ride is an absolute bullet. The day I got it, seemed like everyone wanted to race. It beats a Boxter hands down. Excellent handling, ride, acceleration, looks. I put on some 19' wheels and just put in a procharger supercharger. Fastest car I have ever owned.
