Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Style & comfort
Cons: Cost or repairs & issues.Cost of Regular Maintenance was $2900 for the 1st 78000km plus too many Warranty repairs. No way I would keep the car without bumper to bumper warranty.
What's up with the Mercedes C320
Pros: safety features, body style, and the weight of the car
Cons: The way the car jerks sometimes, when excelleratingI have owned my mercedes C320 for three years and going into the third year, I began to experience a jerking (transmission/timing) type of problem. Took the car in for service and to this day, the problem still exists. The dealership service department claim they checked the transmission and cleaned the transmission, the fluid level was fine. But when I had to take it in for service six months later, they claimed that I needed a transmission flush. Now I just want out of this car all together.
They got it right
Pros: Driving it
Cons: lack of memory seats- corrected in 2009 modelBought the C300 Luxury edition new loaded with all options except 4matic, leather and panorama sunroof. Fantastic telematics and air conditioning. Car is a pleasure to drive and is getting 20-25 mph in town and 28-30 highway on E10 gasoline.
My favorite Benz, ever.
Pros: that Mercedes look and feel
Cons: smallish backseatThis is my 5th Mercedes since '84 (2E-class, 2 C-class and 1 T-class [wagon], and I keep them forever) and this one is the best all round for style, size, creature comforts, performance. It seems quite a bit bigger than the last C-class, although the back seat can be a bit snug. When I first saw the large Mecedes logo in the grill I was a little turned off, but it really grows on you and now I really love it. The AMG-ish touches are really dramatic and dare I say, cool (I'm dating myself I believe). And I got the 4-matic which is really, really a must north of the M-D line. I can't imagine a better car.
Love my C300
Pros: I don't have just one...styling, drive, sound system, comfort, etc.
Cons: The Navigation screen is smallI absolutely love my C300. I had been looking for a new car for a couple years, but couldn't find anything that I really liked. Then I saw the C300. The styling was the first thing that attracted me to the car. However, the safety, comfort, drive, technology and value ultimately led me to buy one. I've owned Honda, Toyota, Mercedes, and BMW sedans and/or SUVs, and this is my favorite car by far. I highly recommend one to any buyer.
