Best luxury S.U.V. for the money !
Pros: Nice quiet ride with the Bose stereo system ! 6 speed transmission with manual option .
Cons: Gets around 24 M.P.G. not bad for heavy rig .
Great handling compared to Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander . Much quieter interior when on the road then the others for the same money . Great styling and seats fold down nice and flat. Great engineering on the third row seats and access is easy with the second row sliding forward feature .One of the best pricy veheicles I've ever owned.
Pros: 3rd row seating spaciousness
Cons: Having to prop the hood up
Hugs the corners very wellnever had a better vechile
Pros: space, handling, ride, styling, being able to see all around the SUV
Cons: price
I started out with the 626 and was very pleased.Traded for the Mazda 6, supurbe handling and perfrormance. Then I bought the Tribute sport 4 door. Don't think I will ever buy another kind anless it is changed in a way ro reduce performanceFord does not honor warranty/repair on Mazda hybri
Pros: leather interior and upgrades in the Tribute hybrid Grand Touring
Cons: A/C will not run on the hybrid power.
In 2008, Ford and Mazda had a joint pilot program of the Mazda hybrid Tribute SUV. This was a Mazda that guaranteed repair from Mazda combined with Ford's hybrid techs/budget for the hybrid power train. It was a twin to the Ford Escape hybrid. I bought one and Ford refused to honor provision of the hybrid warranty (at most dealers) and repairs. Mazda says that there is no such car when I have problems. Buyers of new tech hybrids should be aware of possible problems like this.Solid Performer--
Pros: Bose Stereo
Cons: Cheap carpet.
Loved my Mazda 3 so I bought a CX-7. Really like it, don't love it. If fuel economy were better, I would like it better. However, when I look at other cars, for the price, it was a good value and won't trade at this time.Hybrid warranty and repair not available at Ford
Pros: 32 mpg
Cons: A/C demands a lot of gas to run
I bought the hybrid Tribute in the Mazda limited production program in 2008 in CA. Now, Ford does not honor its commitment to Mazda for hybrid repairs, especially outside CA. I was stranded in Ft Lauderdale because no Ford dealer would use its budget to diagnose and repair the defective hybrid power train part. In fact, I was told repeatedly by Mazda and Ford that no such car existed. I bought with the assurance that Ford would provide the hybrid repairs nationally using the Ford Escape hybrid techs. This car is a lemon and never should have been sold. I do not trust Ford anymore and would never buy a hybrid from them.Sharp and reliable
Pros: smooth power delivery
Cons: recommended to use premium fuel
Nice curb appeal; seems to have the Mazda reliability I have become accustomed to in my previous 3 Mazdas: the turbo 4 engine performs well.
