Purchased new....no issues or problems. Overall a competent family mover that looks upscale. Could use a bit more engine.
Pros: sync system
Cons: cup holders on side doors
I;m so happy with my 2008 mkx.The long sun is great in the summer.Front wheel dr. is great in the winter. The sync.system & sirius radio are great for those long drives. The 19' wheels are great for the ground clearance. All in all great vehicle. No problems yet,met my fun&needs.4 years of compliments
Pros: heated/cool front seats
Cons: glare on the windshield
My MKX Lease is up and I am going right back to another one. My White Chocolate with light interior has given me 4 years of compliments form people even today. My neighbor knew I was at the end of my lease and thought it was my new lease. Can't ask for more than that. Heard that the 2010 are better on the windshield glare...yipee.Good vehicle - however the Ford version would be
Pros: Size and appearance
Cons: Not a luxury SUV, road noise at 40 MPH +, average 16/17 MPG
Plenty of 'get up & go' - handles and drives like sports car. Way too pricey for what you get. GPS a joke.. no back up camera.. back up alarm works half the time.Very satisfied
Pros: Sync
This is my wife's car and we have owned for 2 years. It has been very reliable as she drives +20K miles per year. It is very comfortable with lots of room on the inside, while not overly large on th outside.Pros: The appearance of the car
Cons: Navigational system...none of the cars seem to have a KISS system (keep it simple stupid)
Advice: test drive it
I found that my MkX had sufficient power for my needs. The car handles well and overall the car is alright... Am somewhat disappointed in what Lincoln did to the MKX... Little things like no glove box light, the rear seats can be placed in the cargo position with a switch in the back, but you have to manually return them to the upright position. In my Mountaineer the switch was used to move the seats up and down...just seems that Lincoln cut corners The hatch back had a problem the first week.. but was repaired at the dealership. They said it was electrical.. Headlights follow your direction at the car wash a gentleman who also owns an MKX had a wire disconnect to the headlamps..again little things that have happened..
