Pros: Automatic Climate Controll (driver and passenger can controll temp)
Cons: Position of volume buttons on steering wheel. they are hard to get to at times.
Advice: GET IT! Ive had it for almost 5 months and have 10k miles on it. best car ive ever ownedSomeone told me to go and drive a kia. I wanted an SUV but didnt want to pay the SUV price. I drove an optima, it was ok for a car but i really wanted an SUV. So I drove the Sorento. I fell in love with it. I bought it on new years eve '07 and payed the same price for it as i would have an 07 base model liberty.
Pros: 4x4, user friendly, storage, everthing about it
Cons: i cant think of anything
Advice: great suv for the price, drive and you will buywe drove others first, didnt even know kia existed, was leary of buying anything not american but the great warrenty the quality the ride the other amminities that are standard on sorento are extra on others and the price we got a very good price on it the kia does excellent on snow and ice has plenty of power and pulls my ranger bass boat. we bought it from jack miller in kansas city mo.the dealer was great so was the staff weve never been treated as good before we highly recomend them.
Pros: Safety features & stylish appearance
Cons: Rough ride on bad roads
Advice: Definitely consider this vehicle if you want a nice SUV with lower paymentsWe drove almost every new 'crossover' vehicle on the market. We went to Ford to buy the Edge but when we found it to be too expensive, they suggested we look at the KIA dealer next door (same owner). We loved it right away and ended up buying it that night.
Pros: Quality for the price
Cons: 4x4 tourque on demand 4 wheel drive
Advice: Discuss the part time 4x4 transmission. 2 wheel hiIf you are looking for a smaller sized SUV in the lexus line, look no further. This Sorento has it all and more bang for the buck than all in its class. Turning, ride, looks, performance, towing, comfort, ease of operation, and general all around quality, this Sorento has what it takes. Test one out and you will buy it. Be aware of the two choices in 4x4 operation and transmissions. They differ considerably.
Pros: sport shifter and power
Cons: sharp turning 4x4 hopping
Advice: try it you will like itlove the way it handles but on sharp turns can feel full time 4x4 hop get good milege on tripe would buy another one
Pros: Power everything, 4 wheel drive
Cons: Bounce it rear wheels on bumps
Advice: Good vehicle for recreation useGood power, not to keen on the traction control, slows me down, good ride on interstates, rear wheels bounce on bumps but not crude, good stopping power, can't wait for it to snow good light duty off road, never tried to see what it can due, great vehicle looks sweet!!!
Pros: Style is an asset
Cons: Poor fuel economy
Advice: Don't buy if you don't want problems over 60,000 milesOur Sorento LX had been relatively troublefree for the first 60,000 miles, but since, the vehicle has been problem prone. The engine throttle body sticks and causes the engine to idle much too high. The warranty states it would be covered to 25,000 miles. What a joke. The last problem (leaking surge tank) occured recently and caused my engine to overheat with possible engine damage. I would not buy another Kia Sorento if they paid us to take it off the dealer lot.I also have to mention, the Kia dealer would fix both problems for $1,400.00. Stay away from the KIA Sorento if at all possible, in my opinion.
