Pros: drop down back seats for cargo
Cons: factory tires are bad
Advice: upgrade tires
chrome interior. You sit up higher than a car, the comfort level is good, you can put three bikes in the back, tow a small boat, and the gas millage is better than a larger SUV or truck. I really enjoy owning this vehicle.Pros: Looks and power
Cons: Cramped
Advice: Look at something else. don't let its cute 'jeepish' looks suck you in.
900 bucks for a new transmission computer on my 2002 at the Stealership! Only 70 k miles. Piss-poor mileage on the 3.7. Did well in a crash though to its credit. Tranny acting up again, holding my breath. Would not buy again.Pros: it's looks
Cons: it has a bad electrical system and moter is too small for this size of truck
Advice: beware of electrical break downs and manufactor will not help in replacing it even if it is a danger
I have a 2004 jeep liberty and have had nothing but electrical break downs that have almost gotten me in two major accidents on the freeway think twice before buying for it seems to do well in the city but not on long distance drives it has safty issues..Pros: Looks
Cons: the amount of repairs it has needed
Advice: lots of money for all the repairs you will be doing 60K miles and about 2k spent in repairs already with extended warranty
I have owned My Liberty for 4 years now and I am very unhappy with the truck. My liberty has been in the shop at least 8 times with the same problem MIL light goes on and off all the time I have had 3 O2 sensors replaced this all started right after the factory warranty was up. I was foolish and paid 1500$ for an extended warranty which I had a 100$ deductible the dealer ship continued charging me the 100$ deductible for the same problem. They continuely blamed the 28$ o2 sensors now my extended warranty is up and MIL light is on again now I need to pay for a new evap pump which was also replaced last year. I will never buy a chrysler product again.Pros: good acceleration on the standard 4speed v6 automatic, easy passing
Cons: center console window switches, i cant believe they make people stoop forward to move the window up and down in the backseat
Advice: Test, Test, Test, if you dont like the mileage, get the diesel, other than that you'll luv it..
My little liberty (freedom edition) the best special edition made so far in the series, almost fully loaded for 20,000, can't beat it... I love it, has the best turning ratio of any automobile i have ever driven, if you test drive do a u turn in a tight street and you will be blown away, the gas mileage sucks, but your not gettin one of these for the gas mileage, its average i go about 18-24 street and freeway, not bad, not really good, but its better than others, and the best part of all 3.7 liter v6 that has alot of umph!! this is no sissy RAV4, HONDA SHOEBOX, OR LITTLE PT COUSIN, this is a real suv with real SUV performance it's a jeep, enough said...Pros: Steering wheel controls.
Cons: Poor handling in wet conditions
Advice: Don't buy this car if you want good gas mileage.
The Jeep is a nice small SUV, however it handles poorly in the rain. I would not buy another one.Pros: sun roof
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: everyone needs a Jeep in their life at some time..go for it
I loved every day spent in my Jeep, on and off road. It handled fabulously. Highly recommend the Liberty. Lifestyle changed and had to have a different vehicle...so sad!
