Pros: 4 Doors
Cons: Three Piece Top
Advice: Beware of the Three Piece Top
Ignore the trim selection I made, Autobytel does not have the 2007 Wrangler Trim available for selection and that is what I am critiquing below. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had my new 2007 Jeep Wrangler for two days. It rained each of those days and the new three piece top leaked! Took it to Manhattan Jeep,Dodge and Chrysler Dealer and after two and a half hours of work they made the problem worse! It started leaking again even more this time! I am taking the Jeep back to the dealer for more work on the three piece top. My dream car has turned into a nightmare. I should have remained loyal to Toyota! As far as the drive and ride, it feels like a car. It does not bounce all over the place which is very good on the streets on New York. If you still plan to purchase the jeep I also recommend spending the extra money for the upgraded audio system. The standard sucks! It does not have a lot of base if that is what you like. P.S. Accessories are not out yet for the 2007 model. I was told they will be available in December.Pros: none
Cons: very poor mpg
Advice: if you want a jeep, buy a cherokee larado(very nice jeep its worth the extra money)
My husband bought this Jeep in Jan of 06 and I resold it in Aug of 06 because I was spending more money in gas then in my trailblazer(which is a three seater). I had a liberty sport which I thought was cheap looking and I was not really happy with the peformance. I would NEVER recommend this vehicle... and I have owned a jeep before.Pros: V6 and steering. You wouldn't know you were driving an SUV.
Cons: Gas Mileage could always be better. But then again its a V6 Jeep. Be resonable.
Advice: Get a good price. Don't let the sales people try to get you to pay more.
Great Pick up and handling. The Liberty is a great car with a nice design.Pros: Appearance
Cons: Glove Box
Advice: Get at least the V 6 engine. Dont trade in or put money down. Check out EVERYTHING.
Handles well. Solid built. Nice overall feel. Air conditioner blows strong and frezing cold. Drivers seat is very comfortable. Glove box is tiny. Have had no problems yet. Gas mileage is not the greatest nor the worst.Pros: Quality feel
Cons: Gas mileage and the world's smallest glove compartment
Advice: Make sure this vehicle is on your list if you are looking at small SUV's.
This is the first SUV I've ever owned. I've always been a car guy. I do like the tall commanding view of the Liberty. It's taller than other small SUV's and as tall, if not taller than most mid-size or full-size SUV's. The Liberty has a solid feel. It's smooth driving and very comfortable for my 6'1' 210 lb. body. I got the leather seats, CD changer and Sirius radio. I'm really enjoying driving it. I could do with some more storage space and the glove compartment is a joke. I've been getting about 20 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg in the city. I wish that was a little higher but overall, I highly recommend the Liberty. I also test drove a Mazda Tribute. It didn't feel as well built and I could feel the body sway in hard turns. I also test drove a Toyota Rav4. I liked it a lot but the price was too high and it didn't seem like it was a better vehicle than the LibertyPros: QUALITY
Cons: NEEDS MORE CLEARANCE
Advice: IF YOU WANT TO GO OFF-ROAD, GET SELECT TRACK TRANSMISSION
MY WIFE AND I DROVE OUR LIBERTY FROM CA. TO MONTANA, ARIZONA, UTAH, IDAHO AND HAVE DONE MODERATE OFF-ROADING WITH IT... NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS..... IT'S NOT A ROCK-CLIMBER BUT IT'LL GO PRETY MUCH ANY WHERE ELSE SPECIALLY WITH THE SELECT TRACK TRANSMISSION (ALLOWS YOU TO USE FULL-TIME, PART-TIME,OR TWO WHEEL DRIVE) AND THE 3.7 LITER ENGINE...ALSO TURNS ON A DIME....Pros: Size.
Cons: Gas mileage.
Advice: Be prepared to pay for gas
Nice size cockpit. All controls are well placed. Cargo space is a bit small, but I love the overall smal size of the vehicle. There is plnty of cargo space with rear seats down. The ride is solid without being too stiff. The front bucket seats absorb the bumps well, but are a bit too narrow. I'm only 5'8'' and weigh 160 lbs. Anyone larger would have a hard time with the narrow seats. The highway ride has a lot of wind noise over 60 mph. The EPA sticker boasts 17 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. After 6 months and 8000 miles (primarily highway) I can't get over 16 mpg (3.7 ltr automatic).
