Pros: gas mileage
Cons: rear and side rear visibilityCar performs well. It has plenty of power and great braking with 4-W disc brakes. It is almost as roomy as my old Maxima. Icing on the cake is relative low purchase price and excellent gas mileage on the highway.
Pros: Gas mileage is incredible
Cons: Not the sexiest car on the blockThis car may not carry the 'status' of a BMW, which I owned before this purchase, but for the low price, it is truely outstanding. I had an accident in my precious 328I and to repair the left rear door and quarter panal, it would have cost me over $10,000! I said forget it and went shopping for a car that wouldn't have such high maintenance costs. I've had this car for 3 months now and it is so comfortable and reliable I've fallen in love with it. It may not have the same zoom as a BMW, but I just don't need that anymore. I would recommend the Elantra to anyone who is not trying to impress their neigbors, but may wish to impress their own bank account.
Pros: pickup with 4 cylanders
Cons: hubcaps easily damage if scraped against a curbhub caps need improvemnt doors need a strip to protect from other cars other than that it is an excellent vehicle to own
Pros: Outstanding Customer Service, Thank you Hyundai dealership for the many years of service.
Cons: I love everything!!!
Advice: Do not look any furtherI have had my Hyundai Elantra over 8 years. It has proven to be the best car for the money. I have moved from the West Coast, Northwest and Midwest. Every dealer that has looked at the car has been outstanding. When I was in a crisis, the dealer helped me with the warranty and they paid over $3,000 to my car, not only that they did labor free. Hands down, I am sold out to Hyundai and I will be faithful the rest of my life as long as I have a car on the road. I highly recommend this car and I would recommend young drivers to look at this car.
Pros: The fact that if I turn the engine off with the lights on, when I start it up again the lights come back on automatically.
Cons: as mentioned before, not enough width between the seats to accommodate my purse.
Advice: I owned an Accent before I bought this and the difference in comfort and roominess if amazing for the increase in price. Buy it!It's a four cylinder but it has plenty of pickup. It's small and good on gas, yet has a roomy interior, with several places to store items between the front seats. I do wish it had a little more room there, however. When I have someone riding on the passenger side my purse has to get thrown in the back seat. It has a really nice bluetooth feature and XM radio comes free for three months.
Advice: BUY IT!!!This is my second Elantra (previous 2005 which my daughter is driving - she loves it) and I can't say anything bad. Actually there are changes since 2005 for the better. On two separate 1500 mile trips I averaged 38 MPG!!!!!
Cons: slow brake
Advice: On regular care you will never feel mistake working with this workhorse. He has a good gene and spirit.I bought 2003 Elantra 6 yrs ago due to Edmands and Consummer report reviews. My job is 35 miles away and I drove about 20000 miles average per yr on freeway.During that period,no problem, roadside stop, repairment nothing.Onetime, nailed tire flat on I-405,but easy to handle with ESC.Changed cracked radiator (my wife hit the wall). Some cars can be the best and better than Elantra, but will be rare to compete his reliability.6yrs,118M,day or night, sunny, rainy or foggy,I feel safety and reliability with my lovely, good spirited workhorse, never insecure. Thank you very much guys, you did right reviews.
