    2006 Honda Odyssey - EX-L w/DVD RES/Nav

    Pros: Navigation

Cons: Not much storage up front (i.e. coin holder or compartments for the driver)

Advice: The negatives about this model are very minor and overall inconsequencial

We spent sooo much time looking for the right vehicle, because we were paying cash and it's so much money to just jump into a decision. We heavily considered the Toyota, Nissan, and Honda. Ultimately, the Toyota was great, but the price was not comparable to the Nissan or Honda. We were going to get the Nissan with DVD and the leather package for less than the Toyota without DVD, but we were concerned about all the mehcanical issues in reviews. It seemed like a 50/50 chance. As a last resort we looked at the Honda and I'm so glad. We got the EX-L with R and N for less than what the Nissan would have cost and only 600 above invoice. The negatives about this car are pretty knit-picky: 1. Wish it had a coin holder (I thought this was dumb whem I read reviews, but there is literally no where to put change except on your side door). 2. Wish the artist's name and song title were displayed on the LCD screen (the Quest had this) 3. Wish there were empty compartments on the front console for the driver to put things in instead of the those of the door. There will alwasy be something a car could have done better, but this cars is excellent where it really matters: preformance, comfort, and overall quality. It should be a decision between the Toyota and Honda if you're considering more the quality of the vehicle and less of a better deal. If we could have gotten everything we got in this model on the Sienna, it would have only come down to who was cheaper. Both are excellent cars. Good luck!

    2006 Honda Odyssey - EX

    Pros: The engine

    Cons: armrests

    Advice: Buy at invoice

The van is really great at doing what it is supposed to. Carry up to 8 comfortably. Excellent power for a minivan. Great value on 2005 EX for $25,500. The only real dislike is the armrests don't ratchet like the upper trim models and they are basically useless for me. Its a van that you can get ten years out of and still have some residual value when your ready to sell. What more can you ask for?

    2006 Honda Odyssey - EX-L w/DVD RES

Pros: I leased it so I can get rid of it soon.

    Cons: The Odyssey

    Advice: Buy a Toyota Sienna!!!

We jumped too quickly. The salesman pressured my wife and I until we just gave in. Stupid move, take your time. Friends of ours bought a Toyota Sienna and it is so much better. Definitly drive them both you will love the Sienna more.

    Cons: Milage

Advice: 25,500 is most you should pay for EX

    2005 Honda Odyssey - Touring w/DVD RES/Nav

Pros: the entire vehicle less the tires

    Cons: the tire system

Advice: wind noise and a super bad tire and wheel combo.

This is our third Odyssey,at $38000.00 and now 9800 miles. The front brake rotors have been replaced, front empac sensor, plastic piece on cowl and plastic pieces on the doors replaced to try to stop some of the wind noise. Now the Michelin run flat tires are wareing on the out side. The dealeship in Bluefield WV. checked the alighnment and three wheels were out from the factory, the dealership sayes not there fault,Honda said we'll pro rate it.only Honda can break this special tire and wheel down,by the way there $550.00 per tire and wheel.I just talked to the Honda dealer, the tire warrenty went from a 2 yr. to a 5yr on pro rating.Sounds like there's a weasel on board this Honda Touring model,so the fight is to get my tires replaced, due to a factory tire miss alighment.
