    2009 Honda Civic Hybrid

    Okay, but......

    Pros: GPS system

    Cons: The ride.

Not comfortable on any long ride. Performance is not too bad. GPS system is the best I have seen. For a short commuter car this is probably the best. For a family car, it is not my first choice.

    2008 Honda Civic Hybrid

Really good, but could be better

    Pros: XM Radio

    Cons: Hard seats

I got the one with Nav, and this is one place where Honda needs to improve. When I pay $25000.00 for a car, it seems a bit greedy to have to pay $189.00 every year or so to get the new maps. Especially when my $99 .00 Magellen is more accurate. I also wasn't too thrilled to find my door protector on the ground one day less than a year after I bought the car. That's a $140.00 fix that should never be needed. That being said, I have gotten 50 MPG on occasion, and pretty much can count on 40+. The ride is good although the seats could be more comfortable. Rear legroom is excellent. Acceleration sucks, but then again, it is a hybrid. I can get to highway speed OK, but gently. Back to the Nav, I like the integration with the radio and climate control, but I wish the thing understood English. Then again my friend's Cadillac does no better. Over all, I would buy another one. That being said, my next car will probably be a Malibu hybrid. I want to buy American.

    2010 Honda Civic Hybrid

    Value Priced + 43 MPG

    Pros: The Hybrid Mileage

    Cons: the acceleration and cornering

I purchased my Atomic Blue 2010 Honda Hybrid Civic in late Nov. 2009 and have clocked 5000 trouble free miles since. The car has reliably delivered 38 to 43 MPG despite my lead foot, not being broken in, and the A/C cranked with our 38+ over 90* days thus far this summer. Purchased thru the internet from a 5 star dealer in Virginia Beach, Va.. my return 300 miledrive to Nj was pleasurable and quiet. I opted for the leather interior package and the seats are firm and comfy... the cabin is quiet and the controls are easy to reach and read..though the steering wheel buttons are small and take a while to get used to. Acceration is barely adequate but just enough... cornering is somewhat shaky.. body roll prevalent along with screaming tires (which will be the first thing to go).. I am soewhat disappointed that this car doesn't at least handle as well as a normal Civic and I feel it's beacause of the skimpy 195/65/15 radials... The A/c and heat both crank! I like the digital speedometer display and the dash layout.. The engines revs to 7000 PRM's with the CVT trans... sometimes sounding like it wished it could shift... but it never gives up... and the car climbs hills on the pA turnpike and elsewhere regardless while still delivering the 40+ MPG and a smooth ride on the highway.. The trunk is alittle smaller.. and so the gas tank... but $15 a week in fuel will likely get you everywhere you want and still leave some for where others want you to drive them.. I added the factory underspoilers and fog lamps, plus the accessory auto dimming mirror and compass, and the bass boost as DIY projects. I got what I though was a fair price from a dealer and salesperson that delivered top of the heap service. I use this car to travel hundreds of miles in a day or weekend to travel to hiking venues and it's well worth paying the extra money to be fuel efficient and get that Eco car preferred parking along the turnpike.

    Rough Riding Accord

    Pros: Dependable

    Cons: Comfort

Overal the cars quality is good. The car has a bad blind spot , must really adjust mirrors to compensate for the view. I've tried different tires but the car still has a rough ride .

    2009 Honda Civic Hybrid

    Below average except for mpg

Pros: MPG is its only redeaming feature

    Cons: Noise

I've owned over 20 cars and this car has the worst cabin noise of them all. The road noise and final drive noise makes me reach for the earplugs.

    2010 Honda Insight

    what I expected from Honda

    Pros: gas mileage

Cons: cost of regular maintenance - especially at local dealer

The Insight does what you expect it to do; it gets good mileage (about 44 mpg for me) and it stays away from the repair shop, except for scheduled maintenance. No one will mistake it for a sports car, even though it looks sporty. When the electric motor kicks in on uphill stretches, the engine still labors to hold speed. Overall, however, I'm very satisfied.
