Best Mini Van Ever
Pros: Comfort driving long distance
Cons: nothing
I love my Windstar. Now I'm going to have to replace it and I don't know what to buy. FORD - BRING BACK MY WINDSTAR!!worst vehicle ever
Pros: none
Cons: performance & appearance
I either got a lemon, or the wrong year/make/model. The locks have shorted out and make such loud noises that repair guys have said they can't tell if the brakes are squealing with the loud buzz. The passenger sliding door inside panel won't stay attached. The car doesn't stay running in temp. under 50 degrees if you haven't warmed it up for at least 15-20 minutes. If you don't warm it up, it will die every time you have to stop at a stop sign or light. The dealership couldn't seem to fix it after 2 two-week attempts. The paint on the roof just started to fall off and blow around the grass. It looks pretty sad. Sometimes I think I would have been better off just saving the money and walking with my 6 kids everywhere. This car should never have been made.Pros: The buckling and unbuckling of the safety belt..so easy..no pressure needed.
Cons: The ignition is very hard to turn.
Advice: If you havr arthritis of the hands, all the power items benefit you. It is easy to get in and out of also.
I purchased a used 2002 Ford Windstar SE and am happy with it. I have Rheaumatoid Arthritis and all power features satisfy me. Especially the door handles on the inside and out..easy to grasp. The ignition is hard to turn and have rigged up a way to use the key. Once you have a disability you have to look at priorities differently. I have looked at 10 different vans in 2.5 days. None of them having all power features I need. This one did. The ride is smooth and quiet.Pros: Actually there are several but most standing in mind is the moving break & accelerator pedals
Cons: nothing
Advice: if you have a family
This vehicle handels the road as smooth as a feather. You definetely have to watch the speedometer. If not, then you can be going 80MIs and feel like your going 40MI. Excellent vehicle for my needs.Pros: entertainment center and plenty of space for things
Cons: I find driver's seat a little uncomfortable
Advice: Good van given the creature features included
Very powerful .. nice ride and great on the highway with all that power. We had air conditioner troubles right when we bought it (98 degrees outside of course). Turned out to be loose wire harnass (after two trips) and it was fixed fine. A little noisy, but not overbearing.Pros: the in-dash computer
Cons: the tow package should come with the trailer brake controller
Advice: Buy-it!
This is a great van... Power, room, comfort and lots of gadgetsPros: none
Cons: the way it breaks down at 38,000 even after you service it accordinly
Advice: You must buy the extended warranty since they break immediatly after36,000 mi
This car is made with very poor quality materials in and out. Things like the cheap ring to hold a drink have snapped off and to be replaced, you must purchase the whole ashtray unit. The transmission just went at 38,000mi and the customer service 800 number only helped reduce the price instead of fix the faulty car. This was our 5th Ford and I am afraid our last. Now I know why there are so many Toyotas on the road.
