Substandard window regulators.
Pros: none
Cons: Paying for broken window regulators.
I have bought ford's for 40yrs. & unless you bought the low end mod. with hand crank windows , you were forced to get power window ,great when they work but very coastly when they break. The regulator that opens & closes the windows is substandard in all fords they seemed to last just long enough untill the warrenty runs out then they foil leaving you with your window glass down inside the door. Try going through 2 hurricane's like that I'm and old guy & it hard for me to handel a tarp in high winds to keep the rain out of my veh. Then you have the repair coast,,350.00 to 400.00 to replace the regulator. Bad design for the owner .Great for FORD & the dealer. My biggest disappointment
Pros: Looks and cab space
Cons: The ride and handling.
I had a F-150 Crew that I loved. Especially on trips with my daughters. Only problem was the crew cab. it was a little tight. The seats were great quality and the ride was as good as most of my sedans. But, it was 8 years old and had 80,000 miles. So, I traded it for a 2010, same model. The looks are great. But, that's where it stops. This vehicle is hard to steer, and rides rough even on a new highway. I took it back and was told that this is Fords new sports car ride, feel and handling. They admitted that they didn't like it either. I tried to give it back at 238 miles, but, was laughed at. I'm 82 and this may be my last vehicle. I'm not a happy camper. The performance is outstanding after duel exhaust and K&N air flow. The vehicle is quite and the overall quality is superb. The appearance is second to none it is a show stopper.
Pros: the amount of room and the ride
Cons: do not know
Advice: in its class its probably the best buy
the ride was smooth and had power the engine was 4.6Pros: 4 doors
Cons: Head rest is to far forward.
Advice: Get the step in the tail gate!
After 15 years of driving a Ford Ranger, going to the F150 was like driving a Cadillac! And the gas milage is better too!! Wanner Ford of Ephrata was awesome! Totally satisfied!Pros: Lots of room
Cons: Not a reliable truck. Had problems since I bought it (new)
Advice: Don't own a Ford.
This truck runs smooth.Pros: Seats six and looks!
Cons: No internal storage
Advice: Get a tonneau cover and easy on the gas pedal.
I bought this truck based on its complete redesign in 2004. The fully boxed frame, outrigger rear shocks, quiet steel, powerful engine, and seats six. It has so many positive features. Did I mention the looks. I am able to tweak out 18.6 MPG mixed driving this past fill-up. I check tire pressure monthly and clean the air filter monthly. Set the cruise control as often as you can. No jack-rabbit starts. Definitely slow down. It makes a huge difference. The only draw-back is the cost of fuel. It;s killing our budget. I am able to go 9 or 10 days between fill-ups. Not long enough. I would prefer to go a full 14 days in between. Oh well. I knew that going in when I bought the truck. I only wish it had more internal storage space.
