Pros: Great front seat leg & head room; good balance of power/economy
Cons: Plastic skid plate; lack of removable rear-seat head rests
Advice: Definately give the 2.8 4-cylinder 5-speed a test drive.I opted for the Crew Cab 4x4 with the 2.8 liter 4-cylinder and the 5-speed with the 4.10 axle. Good balance of power and economy, which is definately improving as the engine breaks-in. Exceptional leg room (I'm 6'5') with good views out (except for the rear which is partially blocked by the non-removable rear seat head rests). Good handling (esp. for a 4-wheel drive) and very quiet. The 5-speed has good feel with shorter throws than I would've expected. I also test drove a Z85 (Sport) and an extended cab, liked the crew the best.
Pros: Appearance and ride
Cons: Rear seat head rests limit rear vision.
Advice: Run, dont walk to your nearest Chev dealer!Love my new Colorado crew cab. Fit and finish first class. Comfort excellent. Handling excellent. Economy great. Appearance superb, a real head turner. Rides like a luxury car. Ps, Pb, Antilock brakes, Elec windows, mirrors etc great. Head rests in back seat limit rear visibilty but it has great mirrors. Radio with CD player wonderful, great sound with tons of options. Chev deserves a blue ribbon for this truck and its affordable. So quiet you cant hear the engine. AC very effective. This midsize truck from Chev. deserves your serious consideration!!
Pros: Cab room
Cons: interior design does not match the clean stylish body style
Advice: One thing to say... Picked mine up last Saturday!very stiff stick (Manual). Handles well with 5cyl.
Pros: When My lease is up in 44 more months
Cons: The service, quality, and the vehicle
Advice: Do not buyOne of the worst vehicles I have ever owned this will be the last GM Vehicle I buy. This new vehicle has spent more time in the shop than any of my other vehicles added up together. GM will not stand behind there vehicle and replace it with a new one. They just want this unsafe vehicle to keep going into the shop.
Pros: roominess of cab!!!!
Cons: lack of an extra 30 to 50 hp. Turbo??????? rear disc brakes
Advice: Get in one and DRIVE IT.Was in love from first moment i sat in it. Handles like a dream. Very sexy truck. You can only appreciate it once on the open road. If you have one, gotta try intake system and exhaust changes. If you loved it before this you won't let it out you sight afterwards.
Pros: Even though I have had problems with this truck and would not consider buying another GM vehicle. It is fun to drive and good on gas.
Cons: All of the problems with this vehicle
Advice: Look at a different style of truck.I bought a Colorado in April of 2004. This truck has been in the shop for a wide range of problems from the A/C not working properly, doors not being placed properly on the frame, and having to have the transmission replaced all of this within four month of purchase of a new vehicle from the dealer. When I asked GM Copr. Office for help they basicly told me to sue. SO BUYER BE WARE
Pros: the handling
Advice: go buy one i did it is a awesone truckawesone ride and comfort for a truck
