Pros: Performance, power and brakes
Cons: Noisy engine and uncomfortable seatsA great performing small suv, the SRX has exceptional qualities and some problems. I guess I might contribute the problems to the high tech features of the car. One gripe is having to buy new DVDs for the Nav system every year. Compounding the problem is the fact that you have to buy 2 if you live in the center of the US, (I'm on Arkansas), one for the West and one for the East! Right new I'm using my portable Garmin 550. Also, you don't buy the DVDs from Cadillac, you must order from a third party off the web. Strange seats, nice leather but I can never get comfortable. When adjusting the height, the seat moves up and down but the seatback doesn't move. The panoramic roof broke and the repair price was $1000.00 for motor and rails + labor. I'm afraid to use it now as I've heard horror stories about the top exploding. (check Google). Now the car is telling me I have a problen with the suspension system. Also, when I fill (or just add any amount) of gas, the car is almost impossible to start. I have to hold the accelerator pedal to the floor and it will slowly come to life. I will be taking it into Caddy on the 23rd for repairs. I have never had a car with brakes like this!! During an emergency (a person turned left in front of me while I was doing about 75 mph), I had to hit the brakes and the car slowed so fast it scared me. We missed the other car with plenty of room to spare! The engine has a very loud growling sound whenever you get into the gas. Nice to have power, and a lot of power it has, but at this noise level? I think I would recommend a new small suv from Ford or GMC instead of this car, less overall costs in the long run.
Great, comfortable car
Cons: quick acceleration - it's a little jarringI really like my SRX. I have previously driven sedans, and I like the extra height that this car offers. It is a very comfortable ride, but it handles surprisingly well. The amenities are wonderful!
Pros: Heat and Cool Seats, Touch screen navigation and radio.
Cons: NAI bought a 2009 Escalade ESV in October, it is a great ride. I've had it on the highway and it drives like a dream. Your cruisin at 85 and you hear nothing and rarely feel the bumps in the road. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone wanting a quality ride.
Pros: Panoramic sunroof
Cons: turn signals
Advice: ADD ALL FEATURES!This Cadillac is the best of the best! The ride is so smooth and luxurious. Although there are a few perks... the turn-signals in the gauge cluster. They are very ugly and annoying. Other than that, I have had no problems with my SRX. The AWD is very impressive when it comes to gas mileage. The panoramic sunroof is gigantic and brings in lots of light into the SRX. When you don't want light, close up the power sunshade. Cadillac has outdone themselves, which is something they have not done for quite some time now. The headlights are amazing. I have never knew how technologized these cars can get. They have a duel swiveling system and a leveling system. The washers come useful for off-roading. The inside is very plush and soft. The stitching across the dash looks luxurious. The seats are quality material. Trunk space is generous and when the seats are folded down, there is plenty of space for about eight golf bags. The power trunk is very fast and detects when it has something in the way. he reverse camera is not that clear as it should be for a Caddy, but the pop-up navigation system is really useful. The steering is responsive on the gauge cluster is easy to read with it's LCD screen. Like I said before THE TURN-SIGNALS ARE SO UGLY! When you add some of the many impressive features, this car is one amazing ride!
Pros: The power and ride.
Cons: The front driver and passenger seat belts need to be relocated off the seats to the vehicle pilars
Advice: Purchase the Northstar V8I was amazed at the features of this vehicle and how smoothly it handles. The AWD is excellent in this crossover and the comfort is excellent. This vehicle is always turning heads and I often catch people looking in the windows and admiring it. The braking is excellent and acceleration is amazing. A draw back is that replacing light bulbs on the car require taking the car apart to get the bulbs or paying the deal a good chunk of money to do it. The ride on the highway is whisper quiet and smooth.
Pros: Comfortable seats
Cons: Power and shifting
Advice: Look elsewhere, not worth the moneyI purchased a 2007 SRX with a V8 engine. The car is wonderful if you are driving on a flat straight road, however if driving uphill, even the slightest incline, the transmission is too high geared and the vehicle will lose speed and continously shift. In a twenty mile mountain drive the engine shifted a total of 42 times. I tried the same drive in the 's' mode and the engine shifted 33 times. The back up warning is useless. You are required to take your eyes off away from the mirrors or back window and look up to see if one, two or three lights about the back window are lit in order to determine if there is something you are not seeing, a audio warning does not come on until you are 12 inches away from an objet and the warning does not work at all unless your back up speed is between 3 and 5 mph. Overall I am very disappointed in the performance of the V8 engine, I have found the features to be very difficult to use and am constantly consulting the Owner's manual. The car is NOT worth the money paid for it, a big let down for all the hype the sales people had to say about it.
Pros: rear camera
Cons: If you have car seats they have to add more anchors...
Advice: Buy it. Best purchase i've made on any vehicle...22 inch rims give it a hard ride, 18 inch rims makes a nice smooth ride...I have the 2007 Escalade ESV
