The DTS Premium Luxury Collection is the top of the line DTS. Has all the Bells and Whistles plus some you will not find on other brands. Handles like a dream, lots of power, very comfortable, plenty of interior and trunk room. There is no other car on the market that will compare to this Cadillac. Buy American,

    2007 Cadillac DTS - V8

    Pros: room

Cons: transmission whine at 15 to 30 mph

Advice: Be sure to drive at slow speed and listen for transmission before buying

Style is fine, ride is OK Size is good Be sure you like this car before you buy. The 800 number for Cadillac is no good. GM will not stand behind its product. The dealer and the 800 number people cannot do anything because of GM.

    2006 Cadillac DTS - Base

    Pros: Size

Cons: Having to run the car every three or four days to keep the battery charged

Advice: Do not by a Cadillac because GM will not stand by their products. They have sent me two emails concerning by complaint on not starting and informed me they would not discuss the problem again with me. Just drive the car more.

I bought the car Dec. 02, 2005. On February 10, 2006 car was setting in garage and would not start. When I bought the car the mileage was 56 and the first time it would not start the mileage was 412. On May 01, 2006 the mileage was 974 and car would not start and it was setting in my garage. I did not buy this car to have to drive it every day or every week. The dealer claims that they cannot find anything wrong the first time, they charged the battery and ran a series of tests on it. Yesterday they replaced the battery, charged the battery and ran another series of tests and said they could not find anything wrong. I know of another Cadillac (2006) in the neighborhood that has experienced the same problems. This must be an engineering flaw in the electrical systems, computer, or something. How many customers have complained of this problem? I tried to get the dealer to call technical service at GM to discuss this but to my knowledge this did not happen. I have asked on more than one occasion. Yesterday I asked that they at least notify GM that this problem exists and report all of the instances that this problem has been brought to them to correct. They tell me each time that I need to drive the car more. I paid too much for this car for this to be happening. My other car did not have this much mileage on it until it was about 18 months old. It still started and never gave any problem of this nature. I also hear that the Corvettes are facing this same problem on a regular basis and I know that this is not a car that people want to drive every day. There has to be a problem in the systems of these automobiles. If it can happen in my garage it can happen anywhere. I do not believe that driving the car more will solve the problem it may only delay or hide the problem for awhile.
