I have owned a secondhand RS4 for just four weeks and have to say it's fantastic. It's a car that can be driven on the Autobahn on the speed limiter at an indicated 170 mph (lucky I live in Germany!), or it can happily run around town at 30 mph. It's a car that sounds and looks great, and feels really safe in all conditions. You find yourself heading for tunnels just to hear that exhaust note. Cornering is briliant as the car remains flat. Press the 'S' button and everything becomes even more magical. OK, a couple of negatives. Fuel consumption is 'Super Car' level and the car is not so good when its cold - it can be a little jerky. You Americans have it made .. my German RS4 cost $110,000 and we pay nearly $8 for a UK gallon of Super Plus petrol.
