Pros: Easy flip-down rear seat for additional cargo room/seating
Cons: No good place to put my left foot
Advice: Buy it. It's a great vehicle with far more versatility than the other luxury SUV's.
We needed seating for at least 6, more cargo room than a sedan, and some degree of pampering, but the small Lexus SUV didn't have the seating, and the big Toyota/Lexus SUV was just too big, expensive, and fuel-hungry. We didn't really want a minivan, but we were prepared to buy a Toyota Sienna. But we couldn't get over the *experience* of driving the MDX in test drives. We eventually swallowed hard and paid the extra $$ to get the MDX, and we've been deliriously happy since. The MDX drives smoothly and quietly; it feels more like a car than any other SUV we tried except the small Lexus, but even the Lexus felt less stable than the MDX.Pros: The extra seating when taking more than 5 people, anywhere.
Cons: Dashboad is a little plain
Advice: Be willing to wait for delivery. By far the best buy in this price range.
Handles like a dream. Even the wife can feel comfortable in this SUV. Make it her primary vehicle and get yourself a great sports car!Pros: The Bose Audio System
Cons: Front cupholders only hold small cans or water bottles
Advice: Go for the Touring package and sunroof visor
The MDX drives like a touring sedan. Firm and responsive steering with lots of power. You sit up high for a good view of the road. The leather seats are very comfortable and are easily adjusted. The 3.5 V-6 has as much pick up as the 5.4 V-8 I had in my Ford F-150. The perfect match of comfort and usefulness in one great looking package.
