Advice: Know what you want, then research it.I initially wanted a TSX but I fell inlove with the RSX type S. It's a lot cheaper and has more HP. I'm a girl, so I don't know much about cars, so I can't really tell you much detail. All I know is that the gas mileage is EXCELLENT. It has 13 liters and (this may be bad for your car or what not) but if you take it all the way down to empty, gas mileage per gallon ranges from 26-28. You can't beat that. At one point, I took the car from full to empty and managed to get exactly 400 miles from one full tank. Aboslutley amazing!! To top it off, its super duper smooth, especially when you drive it down the freeway, and it looks super sexy! What more can you ask for? I LOVE THIS CAR!!

Advice: you gotta know for sure this is what you wantI loved this car when I test drove it. But having had it 3 months now I can see that it was the worst decision that I have EVER made! In the 3 months that I have owned this car, I have had to make over 8 visits to the Acura dealership for problems with the car. And ironically enough, they fix the problem for about a week and then the same problem comes back - costing me more money ($95 each time)for 'diagnostic tests' they have to run on it every time!! The car does accelerate well, but don't plan on trying to 'gun' and cut in front of someone - response time lacks! Troubles range from the SRS light remaining on, the the 'Side Airbag Off' light staying on, to the 'check engine light' coming on

Advice: It's probably as good as you can do for the money, but it's not the greatest car ever.I have no doubt that my new TSX is a better car than my 5-year old Saab 9-5 with 140k miles. But I seriously doubt that a 5-year old TSX will be as good as that used Saab. Granted, I'm comparing a $27k car with a $35k car. But the TSX is just not as substantial. Slamming the door of my TSX makes me cringe sometimes; it sounds so cheap. And it is a noisy car. It definitely has some annoying rattles. Little things could be improved. The stitching on the door armrest is like a saw-blade on your forearm. It does not have daytime running lights, but dash lights are necessary in daylight (which leads to driving without headlights when they should be on). I love my XM radio, but the radio controls on the steering wheel do not allow me to channel surf. The controls on the dash around the radio could be improved. (When switching from XM-2 presets to XM-1 presets, you have to cycle through the CD player.) The Saab had some cool little things that turned out to be very convenient. I miss driver's seat memory. The climate-control could be set to switch to recirculate below 10 mph, so you didn’t have to breathe exhaust while waiting at a traffic light. The headlights went off when you turned off the engine, so I left them on for five years. When you turned the car on, the sound system came on at a preset, lower volume, so it wouldn’t scare you no matter what volume it was when you last turned it off. Rear-seat A/C vents were nice. I used the rear-seat center pass-through more than you might think. Like the TSX, the 9-5 was a 4-cylinder, but the turbo gave it a little punch. And, though it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, I miss the distinctive styling of the Saab. Considering the features and the price, it would be more fair to compare the Saab 9-5 to a TL, I guess. To be fair, the TSX does some things better than the Saab. It has much better cup-holders. I really like that you can open the trunk from the outside without the key fob. The xenon headlights are nice. I might use the seat-warmers once a year. The ambient blue lighting is cool, and the HomeLink buttons are convenient. The car handles well. The TSX does not look like every other Japanese four-door sedan, thank goodness, but it is not really all that distinctive. If I had traded up from a Camry, I’d be thrilled with the sportiness of the TSX. If my last car had been a Sebring or a Century, I would find the TSX’s finish to be a great improvement. Having driven Volvos and Saabs for the last 10 years, however, the TSX is a bit of a come-down. I hope its reliability over the years and miles will change my mind.

Advice: Don't be turned off by its moderate specs, go drive it first.Since my wife cannot drive a stick, my choices were limited to automatics. I'm replacing a 12-year old BMW 325i so was looking forward to something equivalent. After 8 months of test driving many cars that included G35, RX8, S40, TL, 300C, 2006 325i, IS300, Mustang GT, the TSX Auto became my final choice, despite it having the least power on spec. There was however instant gratification getting into the TSX because of the outstanding interior styling and comfort, no other car I tested besides the TL did that. TSX is not a straight line drag racer but it sure can take twisties in stride and do it with a comfortable luxurious ride, both of which can be appreciated everyday more than the occasional 0-60 drag strip. A BMW is still the champ in overall performance but with about $7000 more when similarly optioned, it wasn't that much better. A combination of great taut handling, excellent seats, ergonomic interior, Acura reliability, and best of all value-pricing sealed the deal! As a bonus, it also came in the correct shade of fiery Milano Red!
Cons: no armrest
Advice: Different car have different problem, research it before making your final decision.I have a RSX-S 03. The RSX is a very fun to drive car. Very precise handling, very nice interior with excellent performance but buyer should be aware of this issue!!!!!! There is a grinding problem with the transmission (2nd gear and 3rd gear). I know a lot of people experience with this issue. And if you are a serious buyer; check out the message board from clubrsx.com before making the purchase. Even the problem should be under warranty; I have heard a lot of dealers are not fixing it (very bad service). Personally, I'm going through it the dealer in Montclair, NJ. So far, they never returned my phone call and I have been push around from service rep to service manager. This problem still exists on the 05 model. Buyer should be aware!!!! The problem can start anytime and Acura have not taken any action to correct the problem yet. There is a TBS out but is up to the dealer to honor it. And guess what, most dealer don’t give a damn about it. I previously owned a Lexus IS300 and thought that it would be difficult to find an auto that could match its comfort and function but the TSX does more than that. It is such a pleasure to drive while at the same time keeping its sporty feel and safety. The standard features are a bargain. In order to get all these features in a BMW, Audi or Saab, you have to pay thousands more. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for safety, comfort, luxury and a great price... you have it all in the TSX

Advice: Test drive it, and work with what your budget is.I sincerely can say after purchasing the 2005 TSX, I can say it competes very well with the BMW 325i and Audi, I love the interior, the 200hp i-Vtec engine is Powerful yet not overbearing, This car exceeds the Mazda 6. Great Car, If you want all the features of the BMW without that huge overprice, I would seriously suggest the Acura TSX 2005, Not sure what the new 2006 will look like. but if the design is different, than I am glad with my 2005 version!-
