Pros: Great ride
Cons: Back seat area could be a little bigger. ( newer ones are)
Advice: Drive one and you'll see for your self
I have owned this truck for 3 1/2 years and have not had a single problem with it. It has 40k on it and rides better than any truck I have ever driven. Chevy, Ford, Dodge. The V8 pulls my 16 ft. bass boat like it's not even there or hauls a load of wood no problem. No wonder it was the top rated quality truck for 2002 and it won't die after 150k miles like the other big three. I know too many toyota owners with 250k or 300k and still going.Pros: Center console
Cons: Rear leg room too short
Advice: For most big Americans, buy the double cab model with more leg room.
Powerful truck and comfortablePros: Overall quality, and refinement
Cons: gas milage could be better approx. 17mpg
Advice: go test drive, you will understand!!
I have only good things to say about this truck. Build quality is top notch perfection. Ride is second to no truck or suv. The motor and transmission are smooth as silk. This truck is by far the most re-fined auto I have ever drove. Off roading is very impressive, highest ground clearance in class, best crash ratings in class, highest re-sale in class, and the only v8, 32 valve, dual overhead cam motor in class. Don't believe me, just go test drive one.Pros: instant acceleration !
Cons: front end sits lower than the rear
Advice: very reliable and fun to drive. Buy one ! You won't regret it.
I've owned a Dodge truck and currently own a mid '70's Jeep Cherokee (very much modified). The Tundra is very comfortable, has good manners on the road and plenty of power (with the V-8). I have fully loaded the bed with camping gear, four people and the rear did not sag and would pull any grade at eighty in 100 degree weather with the A/C on with no problem ! In 4wd it will go anywhere and do it in comfort. I have about 8700 miles on mine with no problems to date. I have a 2.5' lift in front so it sits even, a shell and a cat back exhaust system. The only complaint I have is that the tires should be wider and taller as in the rain the rear is a little squirelly with the stockers. Definately worth buying unless you carry extremely heavy loads on a routine basis.Pros: Everything
Cons: lack of plow capabilities
Advice: none
Awesome truck, I've used it while wearing a suit, and a pair of overalls. I've loaded it with Maple Tree Trunks and hauled it to the brim with no problem. Also a great truck on the hway!!!Pros: Ride
Cons: The plastic used inside is damaged to easy.
Advice: enjoy
I couldn't ask for a better running truck.Pros: speed
Cons: Weak door springs, wont stay open at an angle
Advice: buy it
More power than any of the other trucks. Will last 100 times longer too
