Pros: The great open views it offers.
Cons: Basic model is basic...you get what you pay for.
Advice: Dont waste your time with other like models. Toyota is the best deal for the money !I just purchased the RAV4 yesterday. I bought the basic model with the 4 cylinder. Several weeks ago I purchased a 4Runner. You cannot beat the ride, comfort, and Toyota quality. I look at some of the competitors models. This is my 3rd Toyota truck, and I have NEVER had trouble with any of them. The interior is comfortable and can handle the rigors of my big cowboy body.
Pros: Speed, handling, comfort (Sport V6)
Cons: 4 week wait (for desired model w/ options etc)
Advice: Buy it!This is not what you think a Rav4 is. My wife just bought one (V6 Sport), and I think like it more than my Sequoia! The V6 is QUICK. Actually, side-by-side to my neighbors 2006 BMW 330i, 0-75 was 2 lengths faster. And talk about interior space! Its like sitting in a warehouse! The JBL stereo is excellent, too. Buy one. And buy it before the dealers realize what they have and start inflating the price.
Pros: The increased space while retaining the good gas mileage.
Cons: The back of the vehicle, it's style is a little quircky. But I'm getting used to it.
Advice: Definately get one! You'll love it.I owned the previous version of the RAV4 (version2) and I thought it couldn't get any better then that. This SUV is perfect. It's got plenty of room and still gets decent gas mileage,.. since gas prices are continually going up. I bought the 4x4 Sport model with the 4 cyl. I think the 4cyl. does fine. The sunroof is a nice added feature, and I still can't get over how much room it has! Get one, you won't regret it!
Pros: V6 engine
Cons: would like AC controls to be more luxury car feeling (buttons versus knobs)
Advice: great buy!!Great family SUV! Big enough for two bulky carseats and and double jog stroller in the cargo area. I traded my bulky, very bumpy '04 Tahoe for this smooth and easy to handle sedan like SUV. Thank you for the V6 option, great pick up and go. My 2 & 3 year olds can get in and out all by themselves (get the runners for this) but yet you don't feel like you are riding on the floor. It handles great, I would compare it to my previous '02 Lexus RX 300 as well. Very attractive!!
Pros: the space
Cons: the 2nd row seats do not level out when down. not having standard as an option.
Advice: get the cargo mat if you are planning on having your dog in the car. it is extremely slippery without it.This is a great vehicle. I am used to driving economy cars, and the turning and parking is very manageable. It is comfortable and very smooth ride.
Pros: Interior design
Cons: Small rear glass
Advice: Buy one. Toyota quality and reliability.Very responsive. I bought the Base model with the V6 and a strong options package. The ride is a little stiff but I was use to a van with a longer wheel base. First tank averaged 23.5 mpg. We bought a 2005 Honda CRV SE last year for my wife and we almost bought another one for me. I bought the Toyota because of the V6 and Toyota quality.
Pros: Creature comforts like the interior lighting
Cons: Somewhat cramped front entry on the drivers side
Advice: Buy it....a great carOn the first long distance trip, the car averaged 29 mpg. It is a car that will deliver great handling, smooth ride, and confidence.
