Love this car
Pros: Handling and ease of reconfiguring storage/seating area.
Cons: The way the rear door opens to the side and the poor lighting in the cargo area.My RAV 4 rides very well, esp on the highway when traveling. It handles well even when next to huge 18 wheelers. It is very convenient to change the seating configuration to allow for more storage both from the rear of the vehicle and from the back doors. I love the firm cargo net which helps to keep stored items from entering the passenger area when stopping unexpectedly. I had one incident in the first year when the car wouldn't start. It was towed to the dealer, checked out. No cause was found and it has happened since. The only other complaint I have is that the light for the rear cargo area is on the door and when you are trying to arrange the items in the cargo area at night your body blocks the light. I would also like a hatch door that goes straight up rather than swing open from the side. But I would definitely buy this car again.
Lots of Bugs around 20k
Pros: Nice ride / handeling for it's size.
Cons: The way the tailgate opens.Brake Problems,Front End&Stereo, all warenty work resolved. Now rough idel ( intermittent ).There's a recall on it but dealer claims that it's only a service buliten. So I guess we'll have to wait for the 'official recall' on the sensor.
Cons: REAR DOOR OPENS SIDENEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS
Pros: Nothing at all
Advice: Don't buy it.Gas mileage is terrible. Very uncomfortable, noisy, and rough ride. The dealership we bought it from flat out lyed to us about this car. The 07 Rav 4 4x4 we bought is the worst decision we have ever made! Toyota is a joke! We want our Trailblazer back? Don't even think of buying a Toyota!!! Stay American!
Pros: the remote start
Cons: hard to see the radio stations and the clock when you have sunglasses on
Advice: be aware that the spare tire on the back door can make it feel heavy when you open and close it.Handles the road well. nice tight in control feel behind the wheel. the vehicle wasn't all over the road. have the 4x4 4 cylinder and that has plenty of power. hard to see the clock and radio stations when you have sunglasses on.
Pros: New design
Cons: No sunroof
Advice: Driving is believingThis truck has a lot more to offer than I expected. I went in to buy a Highlander but I am not disappointed I saved money and got the Rav4 Sport. It is comfortable, stylish, roomy, and economical. My husband and I are both tall and find no trouble with the space. The Rav4's of the past would have been way too small for us, so the new design is nice. Toyota is Toyota, they go forever with little maintenance. We now own 3 Toyota's and are customers for life.
Pros: The rear hatch, its side opening. My wife is short and has a difficult time with top opening hatches.
Cons: Almost nothing
Advice: This is a good buy for a small familyNothing like getting the power of a sedan out of a small SUV and have pleanty of room for wife, kids, and Tigger too. Very nice smooth ride and handeling. But get the V6 - gives you the extra pep when you have a full load.
