Pros: 6 CD changer, the looks of the 'S' model, especially the interior equipment ...
Cons: Engine power
Advice: Consider a slightly owned Camry for the same price?
I purchased my Corolla based on it's reputation for being the most reliable car in the world. I feel this was true, as in past tense. As for the newer models, the feel pretty good overall. I have owned many cars over the past 20 years and feel that Toyota needs to look at 'quality' like they used to. Following are some of the issues that I personally don't like: the steering isn't as tight/precise as it should be, sound dampering needs some work-too much road/engine noise and the small 1.8L 4-cyl engine isn't adequate enough for anything more than a straight road. This car needs a more horse power and probably a 2.0L engine at the very least. I've heard a lot of things about the paint quality, this worries me. Let's see if Toyota will do better than the domestic standard, which is to pretend that they don't know about the problem and ignore it until they have to face it in court/class action etc. Otherwise, not a bad car overall.Enter a valid ZIP Code
