New Exterior Styling Is The Big News
Over the weekend, Toyota introduced the new 2014 4Runner at the 2013 Stagecoach Music Festival near Palm Springs, California.
The biggest change for the 2014 4Runner is the exterior. Toyota thought the current 4Runner’s design wasn’t as rugged as it should be, so they added a more aggressive front end treatment with a body color grille surround for the SR5 and Trail models, and a set of smoked headlights. 4Runner Trail models also get color-matched bumpers and overfenders to complement the standard hood scoop and silver-painted front and rear bumper accents.
Moving inside, the 4Runner gets a new set of a multi-information display, and new headunits with Toyota's Entune infotainment system.
Mechanically, the 2014 4Runner sticks with the 4.0L V6 engine making 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. That is mated to a five-speed automatic with your choice of two-wheel or four-wheel drive.
