Pros: Solid construction
Cons: needs more power
Advice: great car for everyday drivingI've had the car for 3 years now, no problems ever! safe, fun to drive, solid build. I've had Z28's, a corvette, Honda Prelude, VW Passat etc, this is the most reliable car i've ever owned. Just change the oil and put gas in it, nothing else needed. I've read of some engine prob's but i've never had any. I do change the trans fluid every 20,000 and run synthetic oil as well. My girlfriend liked the car so much she traded her old eclipse in for one. Now theres two aerio's in my garage next to my Suzuki Hayabusa as well.
Pros: The design
Cons: manual transmission
Advice: You are not going to regreatI love this car, looks small, but it has a lot of room in the interior, it's design is wonderful. It is a very economic car, gas last a lot.
Pros: Easy to drive
Cons: Quality, Dependability
Advice: DO NOT BUY! Tell your friends and hopefully they will tell there's.With in the year and 9 months I've owned the car, I've had to replace the front bumper, best of all replace the engine due to a rod going out. Luckily it had the 7 year/100,000 mile drive train warranty or it would of cost me $7,000.00! The dealership where I purchased the car just told me my 3 year/36,000 mile warranty expired and failed to mention the other warranty. After checking the Suzuki web site, I confirmed having the better warranty and took the car to another Suzuki dealer. It is currently being worked on. Good luck!
Cons: Not reliable.
Advice: Do your homework and think twice before purchasing. In my opinion, for the same price of this vehicle, you can get a safe and reliable Honda or Toyota.I bought the 2003 Aerio because of its affordability. A year and a half later, my car has a mere 24,000 miles and its on its 2nd transmission replacement. Poor quality vehicle. Think twice before purchasing.
Pros: Great performance & economy
Cons: It's not gorgeous.
Advice: Buy it.I own a 400 hp pickup & a $57M Caddie, so when I was given this car while my pickup was being serviced, I almost fainted. However, after driving the hell out of this little car for 4 days; I just wish I could justify buying one, just for the fun of it. It looks small from the outside, but it has plenty of room inside; alot more than my Caddie! It drives like the devil itself. I had it up to 80 mph & it felt like it could go alot faster without much effort. It handles well & whether turning or stopping, it always felt like it was under good control. I didn't compute the mileage but after 4 days of use, it took less than $5.00 to fill up the tank. I had a plain Jane model which isn't gorgeous, but I've seen more expensive models that looked pretty good. Again, considering what I'm used to driving, this little car left me flabergasted. I can't comment on how well it holds up after serveral years though.
Pros: interior room
Advice: Watch the patches on the front & rear bumpers or you will lose them.I really like the car and the way that it handles.
Pros: The radio is very nice
Cons: No arm rest
Advice: Think twice about buying this carI had the car four months and I'm finding it's not a bad car except every morning waiting for the cold light to go out so that it shifts into overdrive. I also found out that the metal on this car is very weak if your hit by someone at very low speeds. The air condition is not so up to par, and I found out that you can't get Twenty-Five miles to the gallon around town.
